New River Cabinets and Design — Local services in Holly Ridge

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend New River Cabinets & Design!! I would have loved to have work a with them from beginning to end on our new construction kitchen and build-in projects. But that's not how our story goes.

We had a kitchen design all planned and exactly to our liking. As is often the case during these unusual times, materials for our countertops were going to delay the completion by two months!!

So we decided to re-shop that portion of our new kitchen which in the end also included a wall of build-in cabinetry in our master bedroom.

One phone call to the ladies at New River Cabinet & Design and we had solid hopes that our quartz countertops would be ready and installed in approximately two weeks! These gals were so extra patient with us.

This might be the right time to add that we were working with them from a distance. Our new home was being built in Surf City NC while we were still living in Maryland.

Selecting a quartz material via emails and photos sent by text while I visited many showrooms locally to make final decisions. There was one day in particular that I must have sent a dozen or so mails and they answered each and every one of them!!

Their pricing was comparable to that which we would have spent on the original countertops that we had selected and in the end we like the new quartz design better!

What we want everyone to know about New River Cabinets & Design is this: they are professional and they know their business!! They picked up on small but really important details on our project. Especially the 10-1/2 foot island with a curved outer edge! If we ever have the opportunity to need their design services in the future, there will be no shopping. We will call New River Cabinets & Design and entrust these amazing designers with the whole project!

Erin and the whole team at NRC was such a pleasure to work with. When building a custom home, there are so many details to consider and Erin did an amazing job guiding me through all the options without rushing the process. I felt like she really understood my style and what I was going for and was happy to provide suggestions whenever I was stuck.

The design Erin put together for our kitchen cabinets was stunning and we are loving the final layout of the kitchen. Very thoughtful decisions were made and the flow of the kitchen makes sense and is so functional.

I also have to mention the center island in the master closet. This was a really nice touch, coordinates well with our bathroom cabinetry and really brings the whole master suite together.

NRC demonstrated great attention to detail throughout the whole process. Even after install was complete, the team cared enough about the final result to apply few finishing touches. Matt came out to our new home and even took the time to show me how to use the touch up kit.

I had my kitchen completely gutted and was very happy at first with the service and consultation. The delivery however was not as smooth. I had asked questions about a sink because I was trying to get an apron farmhouse sink. I was not sure of the terms being used so I asked specifically about it. There was an explanation but I feel that the communication was not as good as it should have been. A picture should have been presented and I should have asked so I that was my fault too but I’m not the expert. I got the wrong sink. She did offer to fix but at a cost and more time taken to do so. Then many months later I happen to be looking in my cabinets underneath the island and realize that I was sold Silestone instead of Quartz. And now I have dings in the countertop and they are not even two years old. And they were not cheap! Again maybe I should have asked more questions but I hired an expert because I knew that...
