I don’t usually complain or stand up for myself but after everything I’ve experienced, I feel like I need to share my story so that others can make more informed decisions. I first went to the salon and got extensions installed. Unfortunately, the stylist didn’t seem confident in cutting or blending them, and the placement was off. Even though I spent a significant amount of money on both the hair and the install, I tried to make the best of it. But over time, I got tired of having to curl my hair every day just to hide the extensions. I couldn’t wear it straight without the tracks being noticeable. With summer approaching, I decided I wanted to lighten my hair anyway, so I booked a consultation with a new stylist at the same salon. I came in with no budget restrictions—I was ready to invest in new weft extensions and highlights to achieve a fresh, lighter look. I planned to save my current (darker) extensions to reuse in the fall or winter. At the consultation, the stylist recommended ordering tape-ins and assured me they could be added to my current wefts to create the look I wanted. I was hesitant. I clearly explained that I didn’t want to deal with two types of extensions. She reassured me they’d be attached to my wefts and wouldn’t require any separate maintenance. Against my better judgment, I agreed to her recommendation. When we were choosing the extension color, the one she picked didn’t look like the photo I brought in. But she’s the professional, and she assured me the color would look right after toning. So I trusted her. On the install day, I happened to catch a glimpse of the extensions as someone walked by with them and immediately asked, “Those aren’t mine, right?” They looked pink. I panicked inside. I’m not someone who usually speaks up, but I couldn’t have pink hair. After toning, the pink tint was still there—less obvious, but still not at all the look I wanted or the photo I showed. To her credit, the stylist offered to add highlights and a few extra light pieces at no cost, and I appreciated that she was trying to make it right. But there were still issues: I had now ended up with two different types of extensions, which I had clearly said I didn’t want. During styling, I noticed the stylist looked disappointed, and she never showed me the back of my hair. From the front, it looked good—and I really wanted to like it—so I left hoping for the best. But the next day, the tape-ins were visibly showing. I ended up removing some myself because I simply couldn’t walk around like that. I sent the stylist photos and explained that I was honestly sick to my stomach thinking about how much I spent for a result that just wasn’t what I was promised. Her response was that “extensions are a LUXURY” and “not a necessity.” I already know that—but when I choose to spend money on a luxury service, I expect a luxury result. I didn’t go in saying I couldn’t afford the better option. In fact, I was willing to pay for the new weft from the beginning. The cheaper route she advised me to take ended up being a total waste—it cost time, money, and confidence, and still didn’t give me the look I wanted. Taking out the visible tape-ins left my hair looking disconnected and uneven. I spent nearly 8 hours in the salon and walked away with something completely different from what I was told was possible. I’ve never asked a salon to fix anything in the past. I’ve always been the type to say “it’s just hair”—but when you invest in something considered a luxury, the experience and result should reflect that. The stylist did show my photos to management, and they told her their policy is no refunds (which I never asked for). They offered to waive the install if I now purchased the weft I originally wanted—though the cost has since increased by $150 due to tariffs. I’m just really disappointed. I trusted a professional’s advice over my gut, and I regret it. I hope no one else goes through the same experience. If a stylist tells someone that their goal photo is achievable, that should come with follow-through and...
Read moreTerrible service! Do not book at this salon! I went into this salon as a blonde with highlights I just got a month prior. I needed a root touch up and asked for an icy gloss to help with brassy tone. She turned my hair dark brown!!! They charged me $180. When I spoke to manager, she said it’s store policy to not provide refunds. However, I can come back and have her fix it. There is no way to fix it unless she strips it or to add highlights which will fry my hair. Btw, The manager that called me back, didn’t even do hair. She said she just manages the place. This is a way overpriced salon! She ruined my $250 highlights, and charged me $180. This was a $430 mistake that they made. Save your money and go anywhere else.
For reference, The first picture shows my blonde hair a month ago (These highlights were not done at this salon, I tried to go back to the same girl who did them, but she was out sick) .the second one shows my hair after I left this salon. Showing it is not icy blonde like I had prior.
I edited this Post to remove the stylists name. I actually don’t blame her. They obviously do not train their stylists. I wouldn’t trust going to anybody...
