Absolutely the slowest moving DMV I have ever experienced. I have lived in several other counties within Fl and this is the worst. I have been trying for 2 months to register my vehicle after a move back to Fl. 4 trips to the crystal river DMV. First trip 8 hours sitting in the office. I had to renew temp tags twice. There were long waits for those. Today I’m currently sitting in a packed office and am told it’s a long wait also. Others have been waiting hours. Hire some more people and for goodness sake update your call system. Why are you having one lady at the front desk calling people back? Put in a system where each employee can press a button to call the next number back. Open another location as there is only 2 in the county. There is absolutely no respect for peoples time. Not everyone is retired and has all the time in the world to hang out in the dmv office. You front desk lady sat there trying to dissuade any new customers from staying to take care of business. There has to be a better...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior my spouse experienced at this office. A supervisor was speaking loudly to another employee—clearly within earshot—stating that I, the servicemember, had to be present to complete a vehicle registration and that my spouse was “just trying to get a discount.” This not only contradicts the form itself, which explicitly states “servicemember or spouse,” but also shows a serious lack of respect toward military families.
Whether it was ignorance of the policy or willful disregard, this behavior was unacceptable—especially from someone in a supervisory role. Military spouses handle these responsibilities because servicemembers are often unable to be present due to duty obligations. They deserve courtesy and accurate information, not public assumptions or dismissive comments.
This experience needs to be addressed so other families aren’t treated with the same lack of professionalism.
You should be ashamed...
Read moreWas there for over an hour, ask reception how long until I am called to find out I am not even properly checked in. I show my receipt that shows when I was checked in and ask if I have to wait as a new check in (even longer now) because I am not in que. Finally, I get To talk to someone just to hear they cant even help me. They make sure to tell you what they CANNOT do for you, not what they CAN do for you. There is almost not a single one willing to make your dreadful trip to the dmv easier or minimal. I would like just once to walk in and walk out in a timely manner with the task completed without a major hassle or attitude (Maria is the one who failed to check me in properly Julie is a robot and Hannah is quick to dismiss) Will be going to Hernando county dmv...
