This shop always cuts my stepdads hair and he is always satisfied. I've also had my hair cut there one time, about a year ago and they did a good job at that time... I decided to go there today after work (10/14/16.) since they are open till 7pm... I arrived at 5:10pm, and promptly sign in and request any barber, then find a seat... There was only 3 other people sitting and waiting at the time... Then a young kiddo and his mother enter and sign in and are taken ahead of me... I think to myself no biggie the lil guy can go ahead of me, he prob wont take too long... I patiently wait for my name to be called, 45 mins or so goes by (Far too long by my standards and I'm a patient person, but hey I've waited this long...) Then finally someone calls my name (Not josh one of his other barbers.) I respond so he knows I am still there and ready. He gets ready to take me to a chair when another customer states they have been waiting longer but failed to sign in. The barber then proceeds to take him ahead of me. (No apology to me either...) By this time I had been waiting 50 min + to get a basic hair cut (And they weren't even busy when I arrived, there was only 3 people in there and only 2 names were ahead of me.) At that point I had to leave because I couldn't comprehend paying and tipping some one for a service that I believed to be sub par even by the most basic of standards... (To me that wait time was just too unreasonable.) I'm sure they do a good job, but they lack leadership and basic management skills... As I am leaving the barber comes out into the parking lot to tell me I can be next... But again I could not see myself having a positive experience with such a high wait time. So I declined and left to get home at a reasonable hour... If your time is expendable and you don't mind waiting over a hour to be taken care of I'm sure its a great shop... But I find it unreasonable to take some one ahead of me that didn't even sign in to begin with... And I also find it unprofessional not to apologize for the inconvenience and delay... Some common courtesy and professionalism goes along way in this world, however I didn't find it here... I hope you don't get treated the same way I did...
Signed, A...
Read moreI give this place one star because of Joe, this was my go to barbershop. On Saturday the 14th, I walked in to get my hair cut, all 4 barbers were working. the owner, Josh, while cuting a child's hair, was dropping F bombs, and the music was not suitable for a barbershop. At about 2:15 With an entire waiting room full of people and 7 ahead of me, Josh decided to be done for the day, and left to go outside, before he trimmed his own beard. At about 2:30 A young lady walked in, carrying a 12 pack of bud light, then passing them to remaining barbers, Joe was the only one who continued to work with out of. This place has lost my business, it appears to me as a party rather than...
Read moreBest Fade in Citrus County! I personally go to Josh White, the owner, because of his amazing razor work and appointment options. All walk-ins sign the ledger and are shared across 3 barbers on a first come first serve basis. Young and old, I've seen just about every different kind of haircut come through here. I always feel comfortable and welcome in this family environment. I highly recommend!
Update: I still get the BEST fade in Citris County at Upper Cutz! Josh has continued to go above and beyond with this business- even organizing free back packs, bikes, and hair cut event every year. They now operate mostly by appointments, but there is enough barbers...
