American Deli — Restaurant in Hoover

If your looking for a quickie this is a Good place to eat for a Take Out. There is nothing fancy about this place, and The sitting area is small, The Best thing to do is call in your order and as soon you arrive it would be ready. What I like about this place. They cook everything fresh as soon you order it. This place is kinda like sharky’s. Except sharks has bigger wings full of meat, this place does not, The wings are small but it’s good, I always get the chicken filly with wings and Fries. This place in Hoover stays clean just like the place in Montgomery. The store in Montgomery give you a lot of food your filly would be full and they don’t charge you extra and they give you bigger wings with meat, The place in Hoover gives you a lot of food But does not fill up your Philly unless you order extra meat which to me you really not getting extra. The wings are small and to be honest It’s not worth getting, but again sometimes a person wants something quick and fast after a long hard day, if your looking for something quick and fast this place would be it. I recommend to check the hours because there where a few times when I went there after looking online and it showed they was open and after you driven there...

The girl at the register with the green hair has no professionalism. I called to place my order over the phone around 7:30 pm. She answered the phone and asked to put me on a brief hold. I actually drove to the restaurant from where I was calling from and was still on hold. She never came back to the phone. I placed my order at the register while still on hold. And when I mentioned this to her, she had a smug look on her face and didn’t acknowledge the fact that she did. I said to her that she could have come back to the phone. She still didn’t respond. I stated again that she could have come back to the phone. She stated that “we’re very busy”. I repeatedly said that “you still could have come back to the phone”. Then she finally apologized. She was very rude as well.

Was DoorDashing in the Hoover area, picked up an order here, and decided to double back and have a quick bite to eat. It wasn't amazing, but it was good compared to other ones I ate at in the past. Extremely busy, very small for the amount of traffic going in and out. The kitchen is small also, so if you're hot natured, you might want to order and wait outside or in your car, maybe even call it in or hey I've got an idea.. DoorDash it 👍🏾 the staff is friendly, the establishment is clean, but crowded. The food was good.. ordered the steak philly extra cheese with the mild lemon pepper wings combo, super sweet peach punch, and I added cajun ranch fries.. personal opinion, they are not as good as Sylacauga American Deli, but it's edible!
