My 12 year old son, who has an autistic spectrum disorder was with his dad swimming not to long ago - Summer 2021. The life guards at the window let me check on my son without having to pay because I was not swimming just checking on my son's safety, this was greatly appreciated and they saved my son's life. My son was having trouble swimming and a life guard went out of her way to protect him telling him to stay safe and swim in a not so deep area. She's an angel in disguise and she should be praised for this, not too many life guards care about people, but thank God this young girl takes her job very seriously and is a very honourable young lady. I remember years ago in Milwaukee, my son almost drowned at 2 years old and nobody cared. But here in Horicon, Wisconsin the life guards care about your children alot and that's wonderful !!!! ππ It makes a parent feel good to have a safe and clean place for their children to play and soak up the sun swimming at a wonderful pool and slide with very caring life guards. ππ The life guards here in Horicon get the children out of the water when it's a thunder and lightning storm, they close down for dangerous weather. It's very nice and clean here, you can get a snack, tasty treat or ice cream and eat it near the pool under an umbrella table or sit under an umbrella lawn chair near the pool and watch your children have a great time. There is great changing rooms with a convienient shower for cleaning up. Respectful and nice life guards that care for people, love...
Β Β Β Read moreTerrible first time experience there for my 4 year old and I. Caitlin the so-called lead lifeguard was absolutely rude to us. First we were told we could get in there after paying $10 to wait around to get the all clear for my son to hop in the water for a bit. Needless to say 40 minutes later it's drizzling it hasn't thundered for any time but Caitlin the lead lifeguard kept resetting the caution time to 30 minutes every time she thought she heard thunder in the distance. Which in my opinion was not a true valid assessment. I don't believe she wanted to work that day. She seemed more interested in sitting around in the huddle with all the other lifeguards chit chatting about everything other than their duties.
Why not just close the water park down insted of perpetually keeping everyone there hopelessly waiting for an all clear? OR stop taking people's money at the front door if you're not going to let them hop in the water!
Β Β Β Read moreI brought my two sons here 6/10/24, around 4pm, and before we could even reach the front desk to pay ,we were informed that we should come back in 15min due to an injury. We came back ,paid, and swam maybe 15 min because of a fight some kids decided to have in the shallow end 9f the pool. The whole staff handled it poorly. One staff member was yelling at everyone to get to the grass, the lifeguards were clueless, and rude during the scenerio. After everyone waited 20 minutes throughout the drama of police and ambulance ,we were informed via megaphone that the pool was closing for the day. What a waste of our time and money. I'll check out other aquatic centers in the area next time we...
