I will not be returning. The kitchen staff do not wear gloves while handling food. I watched them make people's orders with their bare hands. Before I ordered my food I asked politely if they could please put on gloves when making my food. They both said "yes of course" Perfect right?! Wrong! I stood there for almost 30 minutes waiting for my food. While I was waiting I saw them prepare the orders before me with their bare hands. One lady took a hot dog out of the package and tossed it in the pot. Then she went to the cooler/freezer to grab something else. Came back and cleaned the counter (still not wearing gloves). The other lady was making a tender basket. NO GLOVES. When the tenders were ready she place them on a plate, but needed room for the fries. She picked up the tenders and moved them around so there will be room for the fries. NO GLOVES. The basket comes with toast. She took the bread out of the bag (still not wearing gloves) but butter on it and place it on the skillet. By the time she made my food I was disgusted and asked for my money back. She acted surprised and asked why. I told her why and she lied and said she was wearing gloves. I told her "I watched you for 30 minutes handle food with no gloves" She rolled her eyes and called the manager to give me a refund. Cross contamination!!! This is how people get sick and get...
Read moreIt is a great place to take your kids in the morning-afternoon. I haven't experienced it at night so I can't vouch for that time slot. I like that when you're bowling, the kids can be focused on having fun trying to knock down the pins, rather than being bombarded with flat screens that show inappropriate music videos with half-naked women. There's no screens other than the scoreboard. The times I've gone, the music didn't start till about 1:30ish, which I'm fine with since most of the music played at establishments I don't listen to anyway. Another thing to mention is that the price is WAY BETTER than other bowling alleys I've been to. We got 2 lanes for 1 hr. for 9 people with shoes for about $80. One thing to note, I don't recommend eating here if you're going with family. The pizzas look like they are the Tostino pizzas you get from the frozen foods section. They are very small and overpriced. We went to Cici's instead. Heads up for all you moms taking babies in diapers: THERE ARE NO CHANGING STATIONS. I changed my two little ones on the counter of the bathroom. All in all, it's a nice indoor place to have fun...
Read moreI called earlier today to check if Armadilla Lanes was open to the public, since I had previously gone on league nights when it was closed. The gentleman who answered the phone was extremely short and rude in his response.
When we arrived, there were two men at the counter. One appeared to be on break, drinking a soda, while the other (an older white male) was counting coins at the register. Neither of them greeted or acknowledged us. A simple, “We’ll be right with you” would have gone a long way.
After waiting patiently, I finally asked if someone could help us with a lane. The older gentleman looked up and said, “Not until I’m done counting this money and closing this register,” then continued what he was doing without further courtesy. I understand he was busy, but his tone and demeanor were awful.
Overall, the customer service was extremely poor from start to finish, both on the phone and in person. Unfortunately, this left us with a very negative impression of...
