Took my girlfriend to get crawfish takeout so she could try them for the first time. It was basically as I expected except the crawfish were noticeably larger and more gamey tasting than the ones I got from the Crawfish Pot and Oyster Bar (previous review from early March 2023).

The drawbacks were they had a minimum 2lb order and it was $10 per lb, so it was an expensive taste test. The larger crawfish are actually less value for money because the shells were thicker and the bodies were heavier overall, while the tails with the actual meat were about the same size as the smaller crawfish I got from The Crawfish Pot and Oyster Bar (not what you want when paying by weight). So you're paying for more shells and waste and the meat is more muddy tasting and less sweet. The thicker shells also made it much harder to peel them, and made it basically impossible to try for the claw meat. Even though they were larger claws with more meat inside I couldn't crack them open, so about 95% of the total weight was shell, legs, and claws that ended up in the garbage.

The clerk also failed to offer us a discount for paying cash, even though there was a sign saying "discount for cash orders" (which of course I didn't notice until after I paid). We didn't order anything else, but after trying two different crawfish places I would definitely recommend The Crawfish Pot over this place, especially if you plan to eat inside. The interior ambiance was more like a Subway sandwich shop than a seafood restaurant, and they also had a Vietnamese restaurant awkwardly sharing the same dining...

Sodas were flat (not adequate carbonation) Asked for lemons, they gave us limes. (Not the same) The "Seafood Combo" is not 'combo' in the sense of 'combine 2 items from a list', no, they mean Combo as in Fast food (Like fish and fries OR Shrimp and Fries. Not Fish and shrimp with side of fries, or Oysters and shrimp w fries. Nope) Fries were old/not great (tasted like re-fried to warm up cold fries) greasy but hard and hollow. Fish was decent, but frozen grocery store quality. Fried mushrooms were same as Wings and Things, frozen wholesale bulk like. Not in-house battered. Not to mention they were Juicy... dripping "something" not sure of water or grease but that goes with the quality of the frozen mushroom. Ranch tasted off and was served warm.

The crawfish - small. Good flavor/seasoning BUT the tail/meat was mushy. Most of my 6lbs. (Buy 5lbs get 1 free) most of my bugs were dead before they hit the boil. The meat had a bad taste/quality. The heads were fine, claws were fine to suck they held the juice/seasoning well. But the tails is the prize and they failed to satisfy. Which is sad bc the 'Crawfish House' seasoning was so well crafted, but it didn't satisfy. The shells peels very easy. But we also had a lot of heads with no tails in our bags. Just boiled crawfish heads... enough for us to be like... "There's a lot of heads ... " Also mattered bc the tails we did get were mushy meat.

Now we know.... they have a 3 stars average for a reason. Maybe we caught them on an off day... but it was not worth...

This was a spot suggested by another friend to try. While the restaurant is definitely different, it didn’t hit the mark.

I would have never known this place served Pho here in a thousand years. Especially with the name “Crawfish House.”

The flavor of the Pho was ok, I’ve had worse. But the items that came with Pho weren’t good. (Take a look at the vegetables provided via video and pictures) They were refrigerated, and not fresh. You can tell they were on the way out. Taking a little extra time to cut fresh goes along way on flavors.

They also provided pre made mixtures of hoisin sauce and sriracha. I’m personally not a fan of hoisin. Having everything ready so that it’s easier on them, isn’t working out so well.

Then the utensils provided are like tiny plastic spoons. (Picture provided) If you want someone to enjoy the flavors of your broth, invest in some pho spoons for your customers.

The service, 1 of 2 couples inside, couldn’t get refills, had to get their attention to get items, we could have walked out and they wouldn’t have known. No one was upfront or were ready to provide us our bill.

There are plenty of other Pho spots near by that do a better job. While the price is right and food is subpar at best. The service and quality is a big no thank you for...

Definitely not a Cajun/Creole restaurant!!!...everything on the menu is straight out of the box or from a freezer package sprinkled with frozen seasoning mix and either watered down or drenched in an immitated version of BLove's delicious sauce😳...Frozen crawfish were freezer burned.....bowl of gumbo (this bowl of bobo needs more than a bandaid on it 😣) was garnished with flavorless boiled turkey pieces; chopped celery stalks and a fist full of cilantro...And the biggest rip off of all is the the one pound order of king crab$35.... half of a half cluster and three claws from the bottom of the cast net that should have been thrown back🙆...The sauce, teas, coffee and other drinks are the only things worth the price even though they also come from the freezer section. The house seasoning blend Tony Chacheres+Slap Ya'Mama+Garlic Powder😬
