This place is SCARY. I swear. Yesterday, we were near the shopping center this Foodarama is located in and we saw a sign that said fresh bakery. Seeing as the HEB we normally frequent was out of croissants on Sunday, we decided to make a quick stop and pick up some stuff. We spent $136 on almost nothing, but among the things we did pick up, were three one gallon bottles of Twin Peak unsweetened tea. WELL, upon opening one, the little round pull-off plastic cover that comes on the top of the bottle when the lid is removed, came off SUPER EASILY, when in the past (we buy this brand of tea a lot) they are really difficult to pull off, often requiring two hands to do so. THEN the tea tasted watered down. TRUE STORY. BUT that's not all. At that point, we noticed that the bottle did not have the paper strip that the bottles of Twin Peak (at least the gallon ones - not sure about other sizes) normally have from the lid to the bottle, that denotes tampering. It was missing. You would think that was all. It wasn't. We opened another one of the bottles and although the tea was darker and did not seem watered down, the second pull-off tab also came off just WAY too easily and it too did not have the tamper-proof strip. The sad part about it all, is that we normally don't shop there and don't live nearby, so while we are truly dumbfounded at this, it really isn't worth our time to go and try to return them. We wound up dumping all THREE down the sink just to be sure, and throwing the bottles away. All this happened at about 6:30 yesterday evening . Lastly, as if to add insult to injury, we also bought a small platter of Buchos pork rinds for my dad who likes them. At around 8:00 at night he grabbed them to snack on, and the plastic covering was punctured and they were hard and chewy - not crisp. They also went into the trash. Again, this place is SCARY and needs a visit by the local health inspector's office.

The custom meat dept is great. Their bread prices are high and limited selection. But the staff is very nice and helpful. I can get in and out quickly. Cashiers are fast and friendly. And I go here quite often. They have had a great price on beef recently. Update I found everything I needed for my shrimp and crawfish ettouffe tonight. Fast service. Polite staff and no crowed store or aisles

Beware of the watermelons displayed in the front of the store. They look great from the outside but they are way over ripe and have some sort of yellow fungus growing inside them. I'm throwing this one, which I just bought today, in the trash after cutting it. I hope these pictures are sufficient to get my $5.99 refunded tomorrow. If not this review will get a lot more harsh.

Foodarama#22 Service Center customer relations and customer service stinks. I have been coming here for five years plus and its always an issue. Its convenient in commute but sometime to avoid wait time I go to other places to avoid a long cumbersome task. The most recent experience is when paying a fee to send money or pay a bill through Western Union the employees of Foodarama are attaching my name to other My WU #'s or nothing at all. Also they can not pull me up by my phone number or anything although I come every month. I am in line for over an hour and they keep putting me aside to handle other customers but I am a customer too. The issue need to get resolved. I should be able to come in use my Western Union number and be in and out. I was told its on Western Union side. However I can use my Western Union number every where else but here. Go figure. At any rate there customer...

Manager Ricardo adviced me to come tomorrow october 28. Inlive in Spring TX so Foodarama is no where near me. And he didnt even care about my drive. I did just that. So when I showed up I called for the manager and he said there was a limit of 0 bags of charcoal for me. So he refused to sell me charcoal because im a smart buyer. I told him would you buy something when its on sale and buy alot of it or just buy some to get you by? I wanted to stock up. So FOODARAMA I will pass on my experiences with your store to my friends and family. They will no longer be customers of yours. You gon learn today! Dont treat your customers bad because we keep your...
