We had only been to this shop once before to look at their Pokemon cards but left empty-handed so I didn’t think to leave a review (I remembered they were super professional and friendly though). Fast forward to the Pokemon Prismatic Evo drop- my boyfriend and I were up since 5am trying to simply just get the binder collection since we didn’t even have binders to begin with as we’re newer to collecting. We must have called 50+ places and went to around 30 stores trying to just get one each but every single store said the same thing. “Shelves wiped out in minutes”, “we have them but double retail”, “no we’re sold out”, “only have the bare minimum left”, etc. In the morning we had waited for two hours at a GameStop just to be told upon entering the doors that everything was sold out and for preorders only. Later in the day someone at a different store said they had seven binders in stock and as soon as we got there they were sold out. We felt every negative emotion the whole time and wanted to give up. My boyfriend then called here where they had everything and were doing a very organized and chill process where every person got only ONE item. Items were priced just right to where they were still affordable but a little higher than retail to where the shop made a small profit (nothing like the other shops that flat out doubled all prices). It was a win-win for both the shop and customers and no one was throwing hands over anything. Best part is it wasn’t just about money to them, the man doing the transactions was friendly the whole time and clearly cares about the community which is wonderful to see! After shaking hands and finally getting what we chased after for literally 13 hours, we left relieved and happy. We’re definitely coming back here again to show more support, this shop deserves every ounce of recognition and love. Make sure to stop by at least once!

Read moreSelling pokemon on release day for over MSRP because "scalpers resell anyways." They used to do MSRP for local customers who ripped it in store but due to greed, no longer do it. Long time local supporter but will no longer be going here or recommending this location. Many other better local card shops to go to than this.
EDIT RESPONSE TO OWNER:
Selling items at MSRP is not a reason to leave a review, treating your customers with continued respect and showing that you care is what earns it. You have the option to charge your loyal customers who buy product from you MSRP by ripping the plastic off like you used to do to discourage scalping, but you've removed that option for no other reason than greed and valuing profit margins over loyal customers.
Don't lie to both yourself and your customers by framing it as anything else. Distributors charge card shops like yours $35 and selling them for $80 can be left to no other reason than greed.
You say good luck finding it at MSRP and yet off the top of my head, Astral Gaming and Rev Collectables both sold at MSRP and yet you sit here and pretend that you can't.
You have become what hero's collectables has become: a greedy business who will take advantage of whatever situation arises just to make a few more dollars. Continue driving away customers and there will be better options, always. Matter of fact, at REV collectables yesterday many people were surprised to hear my story of how much you were charging and have actively decided that they will no longer be supporting you, even if you sell other products at MSRP.
For anyone reading this, do not shop here if you care about the community that is built. REV collectables, Astral Gaming, and many more are both more friendly, welcoming, and will not take...
Read moreThe store seems to favor people and scalpers they know. Came from out of town to do a pre-release for Pokémon and called ahead of time. Was informed that it is first come first serve and to make sure we arrive by 5:30 pm as that is when registration starts and to make sure we were in line for sign-ups. We arrive approximately at 5:10-20. Seems like there was a huge cluster of people crowded at the front and as we asked if this was the line for pre-registration we were told that it was not but everyone in the cluster was there for Poke. The manager then told everyone to sit down and that he had “been keeping an eye” on everyone who had come in and would call people up. As he clears up the counter he starts calling up YuGiOh players and people he knows by name up that we’re not in the cluster and were playing a whole other event. The manager even told a YuGiOh player that it was best to drop their event and do Pokémon. Then another Yugioh player comes up and tells the manager that he has been there since 3 pm, mind you he was there for a whole other event. Then as there are two spots let’s he starts checking the camera to see who walked in, idiotically doesn’t enforce that you had to be in the cluster waiting but just in the store. Horrible structure to this event, and favoritism to the scalper friends this store seems to support. The worst part is there was one kid in this cluster mess and one last spot and this owner gave the spot to the Yugioh player who was playing and “kindly reminded” them that they had been...
