First of all the food would get five stars, but the customer service displayed by who I am assuming was the manager was TERRIBLE! Delivery time was 2 hours today. I called and asked if I could change my order to pick up and the gentleman on the phone was super nice and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. Went up there and it was in the oven but not ready yet. No big deal. I stayed around to wait and there were a few other customers in there. A woman (who I presume to be the manager because she was acting like the boss of everyone) is yelling at her employee who is in the middle of helping a customer. He keeps trying to help the customer and she keeps yelling. He finally responds but she did not hear him over the sound of her own voice so she proceeds to yell. They were incredibly busy and this man (middle aged, longer hair, DESERVES A RAISE for working with that woman) is super friendly and very good with customers who are upset about their wait time. Presumed manager then literally let’s out the loudest, most dramatic cry of pain, I thought she had chopped a finger off or something. Guess she hurt her foot. All in all, I just really think this woman should not be managing a food place with regular customer interaction, she does not know how to behave in front of people clearly. Just absolutely appalled by her behavior. I know this review may not make it sound like it was a big deal, but all of the customers were looking at each other wide eyed like what is this woman’s problem. She was complaining about being short staffed and I understand the pandemic has caused a shortage for food service workers, but I’m thinking they also quit bc they don’t want to work with her. I’d rethink that...
Read moreOrdered pizza last night for the family at 6:15pm. At 8pm, there was still no pizza. Wife called to check status and was on hold for 15. I called the main number at that time and was transferred to the store, got straight through while wife was still on hold. Was told the order still has not left the store and they had no idea when it would actually go out. Told him I would just come get it at that point. Night manager on duty responded with "That's a wrap." Very unprofessional.
Got to the store, the delivery driver was outside next to his car just talking on his cell phone. Went inside, got the order, and told them I wanted the delivery fee and tip refunded. Got nothing but attitude the whole time. Then he had a hard time figuring out how to refund the tip, so he asked me if I still wanted to leave a tip because he doesn't know how to refund it. "No! I don't want to leave a tip. Are you gonna tip me for coming to get it myself?" So he talked to someone on the phone, clicked around on the keyboard, then said I was good and it was done. Asked for a receipt, couldn't print one, so I'm hoping it got handled. Asked if the delivery time is usually behind at this location so that I could just order for pickup in the future and he mumbled some unintelligible response without answering...
We just moved to this area from the other side of town. Always had amazing service in our old area. Looks like we'll be looking for a new pizza place here. I'll never order from this location again, and am honestly feeling like I'm just done with Papa John's entirely after that experience. Daddy O's is closer, better, and MUCH more friendly, attentive, and...
Read moreWithout a doubt the worst Papa Johns in Houston. Quality control doesn't exist, staff always fight with each other, and the staff will argue with you if they screw something up. Many times I have made very simple orders, only to be disappointed in what I get, if what I get is correct. The crust is never consistent, with half being way too much and the other half being basically thin crust. The garlic chicken Parm bites are never tossed in the garlic sauce, they just come dry and overcooked. My most recent pizza was half pepperoni, with some slices having a stack of 9 pepperonis and other slices having 2. The other half was plain cheese, but was thin crust (?) and cut into 8 slices. The pepperoni side was cut into 4 slices. Baffled me. One time I called about misdelivery, having gotten someone else's pizza. Not a big deal, I get that mistakes happen. I was given a "quality assurance" coupon, which I didn't ask for, but I was appreciative. It took them over an hour to bring back the correct pizza, which was cold and had the same quality issues I've had in the past. Later on, I attempted to use the quality assurance coupon, which I was told over the phone applied to a repeat of the order they screwed up. I repeated the order, went to pick it up, and was given a medium cheese pizza with a side of a cashier yapping about how that's how the coupon is applied. My previous order was $35, I repeated the order, and they didn't even make it. They eventually caved, but it took another 30 minutes of waiting in the store for them to make it, amidst the...
