I only visited this business after the owner failed to deliver 2 hats I ordered online. I was told fedex lost the first hat. I never received the second hat and was told two different lies. One lie one week was the hat was at there and would be shipped. The following week I was told the hat still hadn’t come in yet. I disputed the charges with my credit card company. Giving them the benefit of doubt and trying to use a gift certificate bought by my son for Christmas so he wouldn’t have to try to get a refund from his credit card company I visited the store. All seemed good and I used the gift certificate and bought two hats. Later I told the owner I had issues and never received the two hats I ordered online. He blamed a female employee whom he says he let go and I recall speaking to her on the phone when I would call to check in the status of my hats. Later I ordered another hat online. He said he would handle my purchase personally and I did receive my hat with no issues. A few weeks later I ordered another hat. After almost 3 weeks and no hat I sent an email and he said there was a mix up and that he would mail my hat that weekend. After over a week and no hat I emailed him. I assume he challenged My credit dispute with the 1st two hats I never received because my credit card company was now requiring more proof I didn’t receive the merchandise. I emailed him about this and never receiving the latest hat. It’s been about 5 days and he hasn’t answered. I then called twice and he never answered. My testimony is validated by the bad reviews with no valid business explanation as to why he does not send customers their merchandise. It’s further validated by the termination of an ex-employee that has described a total disregard this business with a total disregard for customers and doesn’t value the truth in being an honest and ethical black business owner. It’s very disappointing when a business doesn’t put forth effort that that you feel you can support it.
My advice is DO NOT risk your money nor waste your time...
Read moreI had a Derby party that I was looking forward to going to. I spent hundreds of $$$ on an outfit and the lid was to be the crown jewel that set everything off. I searched for a hat and they were sold out everywhere except this place. I ordered a hat 2.5 weeks in advance and waited for it. I never received a tracking number. After a week of not receiving it I called the store. They told me that it had shipped that day because their stock had just come in. Mind you their website says it is in stock. I waited another week and still no hat. At this point I am getting worried so I attempted to call them again with no answer. I called everyday up to the day of the event with no answer, I even called from different numbers. I paid with a cc so I disputed the charge and they reversed it, but the money wasn't the point. I was so mad that I didn't even go to the event, day ruined! I wouldn't order anything from these people, they lied to me and I hope their business fails. I feel like I got scammed, I should have checked the reviews 1st because I found out that I am not the only person that they did this to. You live and you learn, never again. If I ever make it to Houston I am going to go there personally to let them...
Read moreMy company provided Alfred Rucker (Hattitude TX) with a wholesale order of hats that he never paid for. Despite his initial acknowledgment, multiple follow-ups, and a formal certified letter (which he received and signed), he has continued to refuse to settle the payment.
What's worse -- he continues to sell these unpaid hats at public events and promote them on social media, without remorse and fully aware that he never paid us for them.
We want to warn customers that if you're buying hats from Hattitude TX, you may be purchasing stolen goods from a supplier who was never compensated, thus enabling unethical -- and possibly illegal -- business practices.
We are a small business of artisan hatmakers, and it really hurts to be ripped off like this. We are sharing this to protect other honest businesses and consumers from being taken advantage of. Be very cautious when dealing with this business and his owner and make sure you look him up properly. We sincerely hope no one else has to go through...
