China One — Restaurant in Houston

Update : even though I banned this place and told myself I would never order food from this place for my family. My daughter forgot and ordered food for delivery. They not only had the address wrong but harassed her with 5 different phone calls each from a different number just to cuss her out today at 6pm 12/18/2017. I'm not sure what females called her including a male who just spoke Spanish even though she ordered in English. But they don't care about the customers and will degrade you as opposed to just admit that they made a mistake. So customers beware : They will cuss you out if they make a mistake and will harass you by calling your phone from various numbers. This place should be shut down but at this rate they won't be opened for business long. I truly believe the very few good reviews are from people who either don't get out much or just don't know how good Asian food should be. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Not a place I would spend money on again . The food is basic not something I would identify with Asian food. Every dish taste the same and they use the same American vegetables for every dish. This place doesn't use any Asian Vegetables /produce. I guess that's why everything is soo cheap. Quantity doesn’t always...

I really don't like giving bad reviews but last experience here was awful. I retired on 1/1/07 and been coming here before it was known as China One. A young Chinese couple with their 2 young children ran the place. I really liked the place but my last experience there was awful. I went in late and ordered mixed vegetables with fried rice, an order of fried tofu, and a large wonton soup to go. The lady behind the counter couldn't seem to understand an order of fried tofu. She kept saying French fries. I told her 3 times no French fries, fried tofu. Needless to say when I got the order I checked it at the counter before I left. To my amazement, I got an order of French fries instead of an order of fried tofu. I was livid. When i hollered at the lady about the incorrect order instead of giving me what had ordered which I would have been more than happy to pay extra for. I was given a refund and told to leave and not come back. If they will treat a longtime customer like this I don't expect them to be in business very much longer. Needless to say I'll never comeback and will tell everyone I know to not go there. It's really sad all the years I had a pleasant experience here for it to...

WARNING: THIS FOOD WILL MAKE YOU EXTREAMLY ILL...... I ordered from them 12-15-2012 for myself and a few other members of my family. Needless to say not just one of us but EVERY ONE OF US GOT SICK AFTER EATING FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! Rice was hard, crusty and looked days old. Sweat and sour chicken was OTHER THEN!!! Sweat and sour shrimp you could not even make out what it was. SICK AND NASTY FOOD!!!!!!!! Never again will I eat from these people. As a matter of fact I am also reporting them to the HARRIS COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT... Soda cans also had nasty week old fish oil that looks to have been spilled and left on the can for weeks and also smelled very foul that came out of their cold frig (Don't want to imagine what the inside of this frig might look like)... The only thing I trusted that might not have been bad was the fortune cookie. I think that was only because it was wrapped and bought elsewhere! Even as I type this now my stomach is in tight knots and am contemplating going to the ER for documentation. If you love and value your family and friends you will keep them FAR AWAY FROM THE FOOD BEING SERVED...
