Popped in after getting my car jumped to investigate my battery/starter/alternator after my car wouldn't turn on yesterday.
They tested my battery and said it was toast, which was true.
TWO employees approached me and said my starter was bad. They worked up a quote for me of $350 for just parts, not including labor.
I told them I'd be back soon for the parts, because my mechanic friend wanted to see my car. So I got another jump and went home.
When my mechanic friend got to me he saw that the battery was indeed no good. But he checked the started and LOST it when I told him these guys said I needed a new one. Apparently my starter is beyond fine. We bought a battery elsewhere, and my car is running like a dream.
I'm not gonna lie, you guys... Trying to con a woman into car parts she doesn't need because you assume she won't do her research and/or knows nothing about cars is outdated. We have social media and mechanic friends, and they WILL spot your lies and come to our assistance.
This left a really bad taste in my mouth. Sorry you didn't get your commission from trying to con me. But I assure you, this establishment will not see a penny from me because of this.

I needed to have my battery charged after having my car shut off on me in traffic, by God's grace someone was able to give me a jump, I quickly made it to O'Reilly as quick as possible. After making it there I was unsure exactly how to take out my battery so I asked a store assistant by the name of Carlos if he could help me out. He stated it was against policy to remove it themselves, than stated he could have their mechanic do it but he would probably charge 10$. I was than confused on how their policy was they couldn't touch it, but if I paid a fee their mechanic could do it. I was so upset not about the fee but the lack of care giving to the situation. They reuse to even come out and show me if I was going it correctly. Read moreCustomer service at this location was nil. Made a purchase and payment with my debit card. I used the credit option, but their machine declined the card. I did this several times using different cards with the same result. Informed by the manager that it was because the card was bad, but I insisted their card machine had a problem. When I finally used my PIN, the card went through. The manager made fun of me and made a sign like he got me, so I asked for an apology for his rude remarks, but he refused to offer one. This forced me to return the items purchased and the so called manager jst took them back and issued a refund. My belief is the card reader had been tampered with to force customers to use their PIN on that machine. One of the worst customer service experiences ever. I will avoid this location in future and keep a close monitor on those cards, the finally get new ones. I dont trust this location either for good...
