Goodwill — Local services in Huntington

Just leaving this store it is 10:11 am on 9/19/25. I arrived at 9:55 am to stand outside of my car and smoke before going in. Before I could open my car door a woman with burgundy straight hair, with rap music blasting from her cell phone, smoking a cigarette right in front of the entrance (isn't there a rule about 20 feet from an entrance) anyway, she screamed at me "WE DONT OPEN FOR 5 MINUTES!!!" I said "I know, I'm smoking " then at 10 a I went in, walked to a rack, she again screamed at me "THOSE ARENT PRICED YET!!!" I wanted to leave, but I was with my mother. My mother asked her "what is the color this week?" Burgundy hair snapped, "IT IS BLUE AND THERE IS A SIGN RIGHT WHERE YOU WALK IN.' We parked our carts and left. This woman was rude and very hateful. I will never return to this location. A real complaint is an entire experience (not just an isolated incident) and our entire experience made us feel very unwelcome at this store. I always find something there but unfortunately sometimes things aren’t perfect! I hardly ever send a bad review but today is the exception!! The tree I purchased for CHRISTmas was missing a pole and without a receipt they refused to even exchange it or allow me store credit!! Unbelievable! I was informed they mishandled things by other goodwill mgmt, and so this was my bad experience! So rude and unprofessional to not correct this having not even examined the item and stated I buy it “as is”! I have never had a bad experience at any of the other goodwills! I may not return to...

Assistant manager beat on the dressing room door multiple times because I was in there helping the wife decide on multiple items of clothing. The difference between real stores and Goodwill is that real stores do not treat their customers like children or thieves.
