Cornell's Food — Local services in Huron

Selection of produce was very poor. Most was either badly bruised or over ripe. Meat department had fairly large selection but prices were higher than I expected. The only area of the store that had a great selection and variety of prices was in the alcohol area. I would assume this is where they make the most money as it was only area offering multiple choices. Store has obviously been there for a long time, rows and fixtures are older and not necessarily shopper friendly. The few associates I interacted with were friendly but it is not a store that I would go to again... I will drive 20-30 minutes to get better products and selection even if I am not...

I am vacationing here with family. I decided to take my bike to the grocery store for a small amount of goods. I didn't have a box to put them in and on to my bike rack. I was sure that the grocery store would have them. After making my purchases I asked the lady in the front office for a box but she said that they had all been broken down. She made no other effort to assist me. I had to buy one of their canvas grocery bags. After further pondering, I walked into the employee only back of the store. Where the sign read "NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS". I grabbed a couple of the many boxes and left. When I come back here for another vacation, I will use another...

I was in there yesterday & pretty disappointed with the quality in their produce. I had to search to find peppers without wrinkles, cucumbers that weren't mushy. Their prices are VERY high for the quality. $16 for a can of Maxwell House coffee (in Ohio) is ridiculous. Granted, the location is convenient as there is not another grocery store in the area, but my goodness. For these prices, at least the produce...
