We bought a new cue and 4 house sticks here 3 weeks ago. Staff were helpful at the time, almost pushy with trying to sell us stuff. Even offering for my gf to âtry it outâ and if she didnât like to bring it back. After one of the house tips broke with light use, and also the cue didnât fit my gfâs style, their inventory didnât match her needs after another 2nd visit to the store for help swapping it out, so we decided to return the items on a 3rd visit. This time the staff were belligerent and not customer friendly. Initially we were told we would only get partial credit because the sticks were âusedâ since they had been hit a couple of times before. This is flawed logic⌠They allow potential customers to try out cues on their shop table, and sell them that very cue. Not a new one, wrapped in a new box. So those cues they sell from the wall have been tried out, or âusedâ. They are selling used cues at full retail price. Shady tactics, and not somewhere I would trust buying a $1000 cue from for sure⌠Salesman tried to argue with me and got aggressive. 2 stars instead of 1 only because they did refund our money after I pressed them pretty hard. Poor service, and donât really stand behind their products. Seems most 4 or 5 stars reviews are for the online store. They havenât been to the physical location.
*Edit based on owner response⌠I never said anything about commissions. Why did you add that? Nobody threatened a bad review while speaking with your staff, so why would say this review is âweaponizedâ? If anything, your staff offering a discount at purchase in exchange for a 5-star review, which they did, is ethically wrong. EVERY cue on your wall is USED. Who knows how many people have âtried them outâ? And I have indeed been told by a car dealer if I donât like it after a few days to bring it back. The rest of your response I will leave to speak for itself. Not once did you or your staff say you want to make us happy, or even offer another product that might. Again, poor customer service, poor business...
Read moreThanks to Omega Billiards for getting me the things I want even if I couldn't it, all I did was ask and they found it for me.
There is no need to ever shop anywhere else other than Omega Billiards because they had it and if they don't they can probably get it. This is the best place to shop for pool cues & supplies on the planet!!! HANDS DOWN!!!!
As fot the "FREE SHIPPING" on All Orders? How can you ever beat that. Every other Billiards supplies store WILL TAX YOU HARD for shipping costs, Especially if you buy something for under 50 bucks.
Not Omega Billiards though! You can buy something for any amount (even $5) and it'll STILL BE FREE SHIPPING! Across the board...
That's what makes this place BETTER THAN ALL THE REST OUT THERE! and they'll REMAIN THE BEST!
As for their Free Layaway... WHO DOES THAT??? I'll tell you who... Smart People do that!!!! Omega Billiards does it, thats who....!
Because there are people out there who can't afford cue sticks over 500 bucks but Omega Billiards makes this possible to still be able to buy Great Cue Sticks over a 6-month or less period depending on how fast you want to pay it off, and they will never harass you either.
And because other billiard supply stores do not offer this service are they at least don't advertise a layaway service (shame on them) they will always be Second rate! Thats means BENEATH Omega Billiards!!
Omega Billiards are always the nicest people you've ever spoken with on the phone. Joanne who is an Omega Billiards employee has the most beautiful & positive attitude you will ever speak to on the phone,
They aim for a wider customer base and they have one. I told all my friends and family about them and now I'm seeing them sponsoring the US Open?? Wow! Oh my God Omega Billiards is huge on the map! Shop from them you will see.
Best Regards & Best Wishes- Very Happy...
Read moreGreat new billiards store in DFW. They just opened their store front late 2012 and I'm glad they did. This will now be "my" billiards store of choice. I've always been a FW Billiards guy mostly because that was all I knew existed. Omega isn't highly advertised on Google and I had to search hard to find them, but I am glad I finally came across them.
I went in trying to find a break/jump cue. I sort of knew what I was looking for and the staff was more than willing and able to help guide me to my final decision. I spent close to 2 hours talking about and testing out their B/J cue selection.
Things that are great about the store: (1) Largest selection of shooting cues in any DFW store I have seen (ranging from beginner $50 cues to expert $5000 cues.) (2) They actually let you try cues before you buy them (as in they let you fully chalk a cue and play a game on their testing table. (3) Expert highly knowledgeable staff that can talk pro's and con's while not trying to upsell you like other stores that I previously mentioned.
100% recommend going to this store. A++ rating. Prices are well within what you see listed on online stores, but you get to physically handle a cue before you purchase.
Finally, great selection of cue cases. Omega actually produces 3 of their own house brands of cues and cue cases. Quality...
