Totally Tea — Restaurant in Hurst

Came in to buy two drinks. Staff member greeted us and was very friendly at the start. We noticed our total was a bit high; drinks were $5.99 and then topping .75. Once the order was rang up, the staff member just walked away without saying anything. Hesitantly, we paid so that we could see a receipt. The staff member rang each drink up for $7.69. We inquired about the costs and were told that each drink was priced with a double scoop of boba, which was not requested. After letting the staff member know that this was incorrect we were told that they “do not do refunds” and instead, write a note on your receipt that corresponds with their mistake. On the next visit, the note is supposed to serve as a credit for whatever they messed up, in our case he offered to give us the boba for free should we come back. I informed him that I would just like my money refunded or a number to speak with the manager who could help me with the refund. Apparently, the manager lives in California and has little to do with this store front. Again, the staff member insisted that he was correct with the charges and acted as if the boba credit was a “favor” to us. I told him that there is a high chance I will not be returning, so in that case, what happens with my money now? Suddenly, he was able...

UPDATE - 1 ⭐️ I’m sad y’all… this place was a fav. for my husband and I. 10 mos ago I gave it 5 stars (see below). NOW this place is trash, 1 STAR. The Good- Nothing anymore The Bad - The service has gone down tremendously. The Ugly- I’m sure the way the make the drinks violates some sanitation requirements. Here’s why the change….

Used to be fun and upbeat music when you first walked in. Now, nothing. When I asked about it, the guy passive aggressively said, “Oh you like music,” and with a grudge turned it on. I had come before and the girl said there was a new owner (it was obvious). This second time, tried to make small talk about it with the guy. He lied and said there is no new owner 😑. Finally, the way the set up was for the drinks seemed unsanitary. Ice from an ice bucket randomly on the bar, water drain lines in plain sight, the boba jars right by the cash register 🤢. We were good after that.

stopped by here yesterday night (6/7 @8pm) and first thing we noticed was it was blitering hot inside, like the heater is on. Despite this we decide to press on as my daughter really wanted boba. I was not really impressed by the selection but was talked into trying a brown sugar maple tea called their signature drink. flavor wise it was ok but not that great. Now the worst part. later on in the night I start having the worst bubble guts ever and everything that goes with that (I'll spare the details but it's not pretty.) I'm going crazy trying to figure out what I had eaten yesterday that could do this to me. This morning I wake up either my stomach still doing backflips and rumbling as if it were trying to escape and I am burping the flavor of maple... It suddenly hits me. It was this crumby boba place.

TLDR: didn't taste that good and got really bad bubble guts....
