If you want less mistakes, less hassle, temperature controlled groceries, food that doesn't smell like cigarette smoke, not having to call a dozen times to get refunds on items not delivered and delivery drivers that don't lie saying they have your order and on there way 2xs then 30 minuteslater saying they dont have it then a message from Favor sayingit was deliveredwhenit was NOT delivered!...order from Kroger!!!!
And the curbside manager was laughing as I spoke to him. Apparently he thinks lying and bad service is amusing! (2nd phone call concerning this specific delivery)
2/20/23-update...I looked for my refund for the canceled order that WAS NOT delivered by Favor and they only refunded $21.00!!! Here we go again!!
2/20/23- I have spoken to Caitlyn and she said she would make sure the remainder was refunded today. HEB responded to my message asking me to call them, but if you call its just music playing and I spend enough time wasted taking care of their constant screw ups! (3rd phone call concerning this specific delivery)
2/23/23- still no sign of refund for balance. (4th phone call) was assured it has been done and call back Monday if not done.
3/1/23- calling again ,refund still has not hit my account. (5th call)
By the way...Kroger delivery is KROGER employees...so you don't tip them. The trucks are refrigerated, so your milk is not Luke warm and ice cream not soft when it gets to you. The delivery person is driven a Kroger truck and in uniform, so you always know who is coming to your home.
6/20/24- Why the heck should we have to pay a tip PRIOR to the groceries being delivered!!!!!???? They continually take my order to someone else's house!!! But they already got paid their tip when they didn't do their job!!
9/29/24- my groceries were supposed to be delivered at 7:30pm at the latest 8:30pm. At 8:40pm i called and asked where my groceries were and I was told my Favor Driver had just arrived and my groceries would be at my house in just a moment. That was a LIE! About 35 minutes later another Favor driver contacted me to tell me she was on her way to the store! She had just then gotten the notice for the pick up! My groceries are now almost 2 hours late!
Groceries never arrived. Order was canceled. This is about the 4th time this has happened. In 3 years the orders are either not complete, receive expired or rotten food, Groceries late or never delivered and several times have been left at someone else's house. And rarely do they follow my instructions.
10/09/24- AGAIN delivery instructions were not followed at all! I even said over the camera speakers DO NOT take them to the front door, put them in the wagon! He just kept taking them to the front door. I had the wagon in front if the garage door with instructions sign taped to it AND instructions on the order! They never follow them! Because of a health issue I do not want to have to carry them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely disappointed in the quality of āfreshā food at this HEB location. Customer service is usually hit or miss as well. Let me list some examples:
1.) Bakery section, preferably the pies. Today I paid $30+ for two pecan pies and they are disgusting. The crust is rock solid and tastes like what Iād expect cardboard tastes like. My fork couldnāt even cut into the crust. We had to PHYSICALLY break it with our hands. The filling is way overdone. The texture was similar to a brownie. The entire pie is over-baked by probably 10-15 minutes. How embarrassing. Now I need to figure out what to do about dessert and drop another who knows how many dollars on another dessert.
2.) Produce is good for 1, maaaaybe 2 days, and then it goes bad. OR if youāre really lucky, your grocery delivery driver will drop off fruit or veggies to you that have ALREADY gone bad. That has happened on more than one occasion.
3.) We have consistently gotten weird or bad fish from there. We have gotten fish that have bones left in it when it says ābonelessā. I know it can happen sometimes but almost every time is unacceptable.
4.) Bread is moldy.
5.) Flower quality is subpar at best. They look great for 1-2 days and then thatās it. Come to think of it, a lot of HEBās products have a paltry shelf life of only 1-2 days. Hmmm š¤
6.) Prices are very high here compared to some other local HEBs.
7.) The parking lot is hell on earth. Meaning, good luck finding a spot that is decently close to the entrance. Good luck getting in and out of the parking lot period. They need to do something about increasing parking spots.
Unfortunately, we have no other grocery store option that is a close enough distance to regularly visit. However, Iām beginning to think it may be worth it to drive farther away for better quality. Ā Ā Ā Read moreBUYER BEWARE !!! HEB hangs their ādebt/mastercardsā with the prepaid visaās. It look like a great deal, the load fee is $2 cheaper than VISA⦠Itās a SCAM !!!! You have to sign up to activate this card !!! It charges you TWO dollars a purchase and 5.95 per month if you DO NOT USE IT. For over a month I tried to get a refund on this and the ānet bankā company partnering with H-E-B constantly sent me back to H-E-B then H-E-B sent me back to them. Finally because I bought two cards and you CANNOT activate two cards !!! I had to get a friend to literally sign up for the BANK ACCOUNT to activate both cards. I spent $174 in the end with some very rude service people. The girl (giving her the benefit of the doubt that sheās not a full grown woman because hopefully the she will grown out of the āuglyā entitled attitude) who is regularly there is not a pleasant woman to deal with, hours spent trying to get a refund. I bought nothing and spent $174. My refund was $152. Way to go H-E-B !!!
Hereās where I lost faith in H-E-B⦠I suggested to the assistant manager, Brooke, that maybe they shouldnāt put these with the prepaid cards, because they arenāt the same and people feel like they got ripped off !!! SHE SAID and I quote āwell we have to put them with the others so we can advertise themā⦠I said even with the end result being customers feel ripped off?? She said āIām sorry thatās just the way it isāā¦
I have loved H-E-B for years. I have literally lived all over the world and bragged how Texas has this grocery store that is amazing and makes you feel like family. Not anymore. They are just another money grubbing chain, no better than Walmart. You may as well go spend your money at Randalls.
So sad that H-E-B has become this kind of store.
