Update: She called me back in the evening. I asked her why she couldn’t have just told me the code I was using for months was temporary while I spoke to her earlier. She said she couldn’t remember the number as I was saying it over the phone but when I drove up there and showed her the pamphlet with it she remembered. She finally called the other person to confirm but I told her I already had the correct code. I told her I didn’t feel she was empathetic towards me on the initial call and I didn’t feel like I was valued. She said she was doing everything herself. Please hire more help so the frustration employees have don’t spill over to customers especially those dealing with sensitive issues that I expressed to her over the phone. I forgive her, more coaching can be done though as she was talking over me when she called me back. Again I’m guessing you can also attribute some of that to lack of help.
Poor customer service. I called to let them know my gate code wasn’t working. I spoke to someone named Lisa or Tonya I believe. She asked for my code over the phone and I gave it to her then she kept saying that’s not the code, that’s not the code. I told her that was the code I was using for months. She was very dry and not at all looking to help me resolve the issue. I even asked her to call someone else to confirm. She told me to call back at 2 p.m. I called back then and she said she didn’t call the person yet mind you I initially finished the first call with her around 12:30 p.m. She said she was “busy.” Fortunately thanks to Yah, I was able to find the correct code but she caused an extreme amount of worry, confusion, and frustration.
So I go up there and show her the pamphlet from them which had the code I’d been using for months then she proceeds to say “oh that was a temporary code we had until the gate was fixed. We let people know.” No you didn’t let people know because when I called you, you clearly didn’t let me know. And I was using that code to get into the gate. Completely ludicrous. Whoever manages her please provide constructive feedback and management to her on knowing how to effectively communicate with customers. She seemed like she was in la-la land. Read moreI recently rented a storage unit form CubeSmart. I asked to see the unit because I never rented a unit before. I was shown a 10x10 unit downstairs & was told it was ~ $147.00 & 1/2 for the 1st month. Then I was informed if I reserved the unit online I would get an additional 10% off. So of course I went home & reserved the unit online. When I checked on line there was a unit on the upper level for $112.00 so I reserved that instead. When I got back to the store a couple of days later to set everything up I was informed by the RUDE General Manager that the upper level units do not get the 1/2 off the 1st month. I informed her that wasn't told to me when I was in the store to reserve the unit. She then took her cell phone out (totally unprofessional) & called the salesperson (Kay) who initially helped me to ask her what happened. After she finish talking to her she comes back to me with the same response, "no you don't get 1/2 for the upper level units for 1st month." I then stated that it should have been explained to me when I was in the store, & how is that the customer fault if it wasn't. She then went on to say, "I can give you an lower level unit for $147.00 a month & give you the 1st month 1/2 off." What?? That doesn't make sense, in the long run I would be paying more. I feel as a customer she should have honored what was initially told to me by her salesperson. If I wasn't moving my mom's items that day I would not have used this facility. It was necessary to change my original review - I originally thought the service from the location was excellent, yet after a severe rodent infestation in my rented unit, due to an adjacent unit (according to the staff) that had food and other items that drew the RATS!! I was most recently horribly disrespected by Tanya the store manager, who can go from angel to devil in a heart beat!! The Dist Manager David promised me free rent and a unit of the same size to salvage items, not destroyed by the RATS. However, having paid on time for the past 4 years, I recently discovered that someone from the store at the instructions of David (DM) cut my lock!! I discovered items missing and my unit was in a shamble - My heavy Armoire was moved to block a once open path and behind it were chairs and boxes just thrown around and crates leaning onto - Items were that once occupied my Armoire were missing and that which remained was BROKEN!! The most disgusting part is that David does not find this Breach of Contract out of line and Tanya has now a passive aggressive approach - both are distressing, egregiously disappointing, unethical and mentally disturbing...
