Ordered a chicken shawarma and the store owner brings a club chicken sandwich and then blames me for not being clear. While he is going back to make a chicken shawarma he mutters like a grumpy little kid. He goes in and microwaves chicken. Microwave and I swear he microwaved in front of my eyes and if you happened to be at the store you wont miss the microwave sitting right there. After microwaving he takes out the meat and puts it in a pita bread with mayo slapped allover the pita even some on the outside. He brings the sandwich out which I kid you not "pita bread with sliced chicken and ton of bottled shwarama seasoning powdered all over the chicken" . No onions, No tomato, No Pickle, No garlic seasoning nothing else. Pita bread, MICROWAVED chicken, mayo and pickled chili as side. Pathetic! The LAMB is excellent! I can't find enough good things to say about this tiny piece of heaven on earth. I found fresh dates & figs which are sentimental for me to enjoy. This is a true reflection of the sophistication of seasoning & spices that have enriched the middle east for ages. It should be a destination spot on everyone's map to travel in Chicago!
