This was the first time I've been to this one. I've been to the one in St Louis once and was HUGELY IMPRESSED. For the size of this one I'm pretty impressed as well. I plan on going back to this one more often. It's a lot closer than St Louis. A little bit more expensive. But makes up for it in distance. I would actually LOVE to see this one expand a little into the space next to it and put in a refrigerated and frozen section. Right now they are so limited in how much food you can actually get from all around the World not to mention how much from each country 1. One very nice touch was that they had Coffee for you to sample when you first walked in. You just help yourself. Another difference between the two stores is this one has furniture. I'm not sure if I was unable to notice due to the Christmas merchandise or due to the overall size being smaller, but in St Louis they dedicated aisles to Countries. Only combining the aisles by separating them down the middle and if needed for a smaller place, from middle to end on one side... I hope I made that make sense. Then they also section off the Refrigerated and Frozen Departments by Country too so you can find what you are looking for by Country rather than by Product. I'd also like to say I LOVED the Tea they offered at the back of the store as a Free Sample, like the Coffee upon entering. It was...
Read moreEvery single time without fail the short haired cashier is always gossiping to whatever poor girl is bagging my items that day. I have seen her yapp away to a girl carrying a large box when she clearly needed help with it and mouth off when another woman was moving things on shelves. Last week she kept answering questions that I clearly asked the young lady who was directly in front of me!😡 I try to avoid shopping on days when she is behind a register because she is always trying to fit 50 things in one bag. without double bagging! I know it has been a while since I have been in retail but I still remember enough to know this is NOT professional. I bought GLASS mugs and the second I got in my car I had to rewrap them and put them in grocery bags I already had because the only protection she gave them was a thin piece of paper she slapped on it. You could hear the glasses hitting each other when she gave me the single thin bag. it is ridiculous and I have had it! one star. last time they will ever...
Read moreI adore World Market and come frequently for clients and myself. Got off work a little early and expected to enjoy my nice quiet shopping trip but it was cut short by Andy who watched and followed me the entire time I was in the store. And yes I’m a different race than Andy and there were other people the same as Andy in the store but didn’t quite attract the energy Andy gave me. Just recently moved in a new home and wanted some new bathroom stuff (3 1/2 baths) and outdoor furniture. With Andy’s affinity for making customers uncomfortable I bought what my daughter’s liked online and left. Andy needs a diversity class or 10. Will miss the...
