Bay 1 Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Indian Shores

On a family vacation from Indiana. Stopped here the first time for ice cream. My wife ordered cookie dough and I had the mint chocolate chip ice cream. Both were TOP NOTCH! My mint chocolate had tons of chips throughout every bite and the ice cream itself had the perfect amount of mint. My wife’s cookie dough was chock-full of cookie dough pieces and chocolate chips as well with a creamy base. We went back again a few days later since I discovered they also had pulled pork. Full disclosure I LOVE pulled pork... I ordered a 6” Cuban pulled pork and my wife decided on the grilled cheese (she ordered it with EVERY cheese they had!) Again, each sandwich was absolutely delicious! The pulled pork is perfect, the flavor is tremendous, coupled with what appeared to be almost like a mild garlic bread, together really fantastic. My wife’s grilled cheese was incredible as each of the multiple cheeses had a chance to shine. We finished it off with more of their, what should be, award winning ice cream. I had the cookie dough this time remembering it from our previous visit and my wife opted for the blueberry cheesecake. Her ice cream was quite possible one of the best I’ve tasted. Tremendous amount of blueberry flavor throughout and the cheesecake pieces!?! Are you kidding me!?! Just a fantastic ice cream... and not only is the food and ice cream worth the trip, the employees there could not be more friendly and hospitable. We were ALWAYS greeted with a smile and hello and always encouraged to come back and see them. Trust me, we vacation here again, we’ll eat here every day! Keep up the most...

My friends and I (6 adults) visited on Saturday, April 6th, intending to enjoy a short walk to get some late-night treats. We called at 9:30 pm to confirm they were open.

Upon arrival at 9:45 pm, we found the male employee ready to assist us while sweeping. However, the female employee, Natalie, seemed disinterested, focusing on tasks such as removing ice cream from the freezer.

Despite our understanding of their closing procedures, Natalie declined our request for cookies and cream, citing that she had already sealed it for the night. When we asked for salted caramel, she insisted we couldn't choose from that section as she was cleaning it out, despite the salted caramel being accessible and not yet sealed.

Natalie's demeanor towards us was dismissive and rude, leaving us with a very unpleasant customer service experience. As locals, we feel compelled to bring this to the attention of the owners. Due to this poor experience, we'll be patronizing Lu...

Can we say AMAZING enough, i think not, okay so i had never been in here but was greeted by two of the nicest young folks as i enter who welcomed me and said they were so happy i decided to stop in. Then they helped me too make my choice of what delicious treat i would like to give a whirl and let me tell you it was a hit. I had a ginormous sundae with tons of whipped cream, hot fudge, oreo crumbles, and peanut butter sauce, all on top of out of this world ice cream oh so creamy which they informed me which i was already a fan of was provided to their place by YODERS who is top notch pie and ice cream folks, so in closing this place has a clean, squeaky clean interior to relax have n kick back with sweet treat, great staff from what i encountered, price point was on point for what i indulged in, and utterly delicious goodness of eats, ...
