Food Lion — Local services in Indian Trail

I always go to this store & location 4423 old Monroe and always have a pleasant experience I know the stuff, They recognize me through all this year’s coming to purchase groceries! Today June 25th 2021 at 7:20 pm after a long day of working, I come to the store so I can buy groceries so I can cook for my family, the usual; I first Go to a meat section, and I know what I want I always take the same stuff. Standing there waiting for a person to approach me, first she was minding her own business listening to the music and her headphones and not even pay attention that I’m standing waiting for her to assist me, then I ask her nicely; if any one at meat department can assist me?, she gives me an attitude telling me that she asked me three times if I need help, I was shocked!!!! Worst of all; she give me an attitude, Telling me if I wasn’t on the phone I would hear her talking but who talks like that???! I told her that I need to speak to her manager! I've been shopping here for the last 7yrs. During covid I've notice a big change. They hired all if these new employees most are young with no customer service skills. The older ones are more courtesy and put your bags in your cart. The younger ones just sit the bags on the counter and you have to put your bags in your cart. Today I go to the express line and load my items on the belt and the young proceed to ring them up without speaking. Not only did she not speak but she seem to have an attitude. Always a great store for not only groceries, but also a great place for sending/recieving Western Union money orders, bill pay service, and their cash-back is better than (most/all) other stores in that you can ask for any amount $ (up to $200 I think debit cash-back) at the register not just $20 incraments like almost any other store. They also always have a bunch of B.O.G.O. Free & 2for $._ sales! And with ur MVP Card you don't even have to buy 2 to get the 2for $ price...
