GREEDY and RUDE. I experienced a very rude, condescending brunette women behind the counter who shorted me on condiments and would NOT supply them with my large food order. I read they are under new ownership so the reviews are going downhill. Just had an awful customer experience tonight. I usually enjoy their food but I do notice they never follow directions. I always ask for no pickles, and they ignore that request. Every time. But the biggest problem this time is My order of 12 wings (two orders of six) on the phone I asked for extra blue cheese. I could tell that the representative on the phone was a little disengaged so I had him read back my order and I confirmed three times. When I arrived to pick up my food, of course the pickles were in the sandwich, and there was only one blue cheese. Enough for only six wings. So not only did I not get extra blue cheese. They failed to include enough to cover the 12 wings. I asked for the Blue cheese. This very rude brunette lady behind the counter told me she would have to charge me $.75 for the blue cheese. I explained that I ordered the blue cheese on the phone and even confirmed it 3 times. So it should be included with my order. She looked at my receipt and said she did not charge extra, I want enough blue cheese, I would have to pay additional. I said “wait a minute. you’re giving enough blue cheese for only six wings on an order of 12? You need to at least give enough for all the wings. In a very condescending tone, She says “That’s not how it works”. I was so shocked by her ridiculous attitude and outright rudeness that I just left with the wings and was short enough blue cheese to cover the entire order. But wish I had returned them to her on the spot. She had a very bad attitude and should not be in customer service. I have just vowed to NEVER give my business to NY Pizza & Pasta again! You don’t earn loyal Customers by treating them with a rude attitude and shorting them on condiments that are part of the meal. This place is a disgrace to the New York name because that’s not how it’s done in New York.!!!
Update. When I went to eat the wings, I opened up the one, small container of blue cheese that that stingy lade DID include and it was completely covered in mold. Like it peeled off the top!!! Moldy Mold. LOL. If they actually served the condiments as they are supposed to with their meals, then perhaps it would not have been sitting around long...
Read moreThe decor was nice and the spinach pizza rolls on the buffet were tasty. The menu items were horrible, like I would have preferred Mcdonalds. The ranch tasted like straight up mayonnaise and our grilled chicken salad was just iceberg lettuce with grape tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese and “grilled” unseasoned chicken that was crispy because of all the oil they fried it in. It was gross and had no flavor. There wasn’t any seasoning on it at all. The chicken parmigiana also was very bland. They didn’t have oregano on the table or I would have put some on there but I doubt it would do much. It didn’t taste like italian food at all. The sauce was too sweet and too bland, just off. The waiter was close by but only checked on us once, before we tasted the food. The staff was friendly but it was too quiet in the dining room all you could hear was the spanish speaking kitchen staff (2 people I think) who spoke very, very loudly. Nothing vulgar but still this restaurant needs help. They need more heavily insulated walls and music or tvs or something. It wasn’t busy at all, I wouldn’t have even known it was open if it wasn’t for the neon sign. We have been here before a handful of times but that was over a year ago because there is another similar restaurant closer to us but it has better salads and pizza by the slice. This place had impressive food and service and it was always busy here before. Apparently they have new owners now who obviously don’t care. I gave the waiter a good tip because I felt sorry for him he seemed like he cared but he didn’t know what he was doing. He was always close by watching the tables but I didn’t want to wait to get my food recooked and didn’t want to...
Read moreWent in after a long day out for my first visit at NY Pizza & Pasta. It was a group of us with kids so we opted for the buffet. Variety was standard (pepperoni, cheese, meat, buffalo and desert) I don't recall seeing a combination but don't quote me on that. There was a salad bar with warm breadsticks, cutup calzone and a pasta option as well. It was not the greatest pizza you will ever have but for the price the quality was there. My waitress was great, the busser pointed out a medical condition on my daughters face which I did not appreciate but that did not detract from my evaluation of the food, service or atmosphere. All-in-all I personally won't be itching to go back real soon but am glad they are close to home because to say it was my first and last visit would likely be inaccurate. Next time I will order from the menu and share that experience as well. Worth a try, especially as a...
