My daughter and her ex had my granddaughter's birthday party here. While the little ones seemed to enjoy themselves (the only reason I gave that second star), I have never seen such a mess in my life. If there were any adults working there, they could only have just turned 18, and no one smiled or even tried to look like they wanted to be there. Originally, they were told that the $300 party included 10 children, and anyone else would have to pay $5.50 to get in (only because it was Sunday and there was unlimited pizza, any other day and there would have been no charge). When we got there, they started telling my daughter that there was no charge for adults up to 12, if the adults were skating. No one could adequately explain it, and I am still not sure I have this correctly. We were given wristbands for the unlimited pizza. Then we were directed to the glow room, but I had to find the light switch to turn on the lights. 3 pizzas came with the party, which we reserved for the kids, since adults were paying and getting wristbands. My mother and I stood and waited for pizza because they were out, and the ones that came out were for the party (for the kids). Then we continued to wait for other pizza to get done, and the young girl behind the counter shooed us off and told us the party pizzas were in the party room, despite the payment and the wristbands that should have allowed us unlimited pizza. Extremely rude, and not what we were told. We ended up waiting to see if any pizza was left after the kids ate (there wasn't any). My recommendation is to start the party at home with Little Ceasars and just take the little ones somewhere friendly to skate afterward. I guess you only get unlimited pizza, even if you pay for it if you aren't there for a party??? Not impressed. Oh, and 10 minutes before the party was supposed to be over, when we had already started cleaning up, they came and told us they had another party at 5:30 and we had to get out of the room, so 2 hours is actually only 1 hour and 50 minutes. We had everything cleaned up and cleared out by 5, which was paid for, but that seemed to not be good enough. Very rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. They even left an email sitting out where my daughter's ex could see it talking about him because he said it was stupid to charge people who weren't going to skate and didn't want unlimited pizza. I think it was even more stupid because two people who had wristbands were turned away...rudely, and after waiting for...
Read moreMy kids were bullied there by a group of kids from the junky apartments near by. Don't take your kids there . They have kids watching kids there with no adults on hand . If you bring your kids stay there with them. If something happens they don't have the staff there to resolve it like an adult would. I used to bring my kids there for the last 25 years when it was wheels of wonder they watched the children because it mattered to them, it was a family run business I think . It was obvious to me that they are not trained to identify any issues that happen at the rink. When children repeatedly get pushed down and get kicked with skates someone should see it and resolve the issues not kick the kid out that is on her back trying not to get stomped and slapped by the one standing over her. When other parents come to me and say that they saw it happen and that they feel bad . The floor guards are too busy skating backwards and showing off to pay attention to care because they are trying to impress other 13 year Olds? ??? I heard 2 sides of the story If there is a big 14year old kid with a mustache being bullied by my skinny little 9 year old little girl there is a big problem. If any of either of the stories actually happened over an hour long time period they should have noticed . Something?????? Spent $30 there in less than an hour and the kids that were bullying little girls flipped the whole story so they didn't get kicked out. No one believes that a kid with a mustache is scared for his life from a tiny little girl. The older kids had their younger siblings pick on the kids of their choosing . Sad to say that it wasn't only my children that were bullied that night . Other parents had their high school kids go tell the staff and they did nothing. The older kids that were trying to protect the younger ones were told they were going to be kicked out if they got involved. Not a way to take care of the problem. I spent alot of money there in skates wheels and bearings. For 5 kids over the years... If that's how they treat loyal customers I want nothing further to do with them. The kid on the phone said they would do nothing and would not be giving me any kind of refund. No matter what. I just wanted them to tell me why all of this wasn't seen...
Read moreMy son had a birthday party at fun factory yesterday. He had a blast, but NEVER again. Our party host was the only one covering all of the birthday parties. She was nice but was uninformed on what party package I chose and was pretty sporadic when she actually showed up to help host (I get it she was busy). It was 90 degrees the day of the party and it was cooler outside than it was at the party area and skating rink. The only air conditoned areas were oddly enough by the food area, the game area, and restrooms. Myself and all of our guests wanted to hide out in the restroom or go outside to have some relief from the unbearable heat INSIDE. When it came time to do cake and presents, we asked if they had plastic knives or something to cut the cake, they only carry sporks... it was a messy ordeal but the cake was cut and served with sporks... our hostess was either new and/or overwhelmed with all of the parties. It was my first time at Fun Factory, I read over all the email information when I booked the party, there wasn't any information on how to get skates for your guests, my son had been to a party there before and he informed me that the single ticket in the party bags were for skate rental. He needed a walker to help him skate, I was informed he needed a wrist band AND it was an additional fee for the walker? Ridiculous. Overall, my son had a blast but ALL of our guests were drenched in sweat and miserable not even half way through the party, our hostess was uninformed/overwhelmed with multiple parties that we had to do a lot of the running for drinks and other things ourselves. I'm not sure how this place is still in business, but we...
