According to the reviews of others, Tandoori Flame comes highly recommended for Indian cuisine. I suppose that I will just have to take you all at your word about it. Here's why, my family and I arrived at 19:31 on Father's Day. The restaurant didn't appear to be busy, but we waited for several minutes to be greeted and seated. Another 7 minutes goes by before the server acknowledges my family and our drink order. We finally receive our beverages and the server was gone again. She was busy, I understand that, but to leave us just sitting there with no indication of when our meal order would be taken gave me a strange feeling. Finally, our order was taken. And, then we waited and waited and waited for our meals to arrive. Well, after an hour and two minutes had passed, there was still no service to our table. I supposed that we were forgotten. But, the large party that had come in almost 30 minutes after we were seated was receiving service! Forget social distancing, we were all crammed into one area of the quite large building. And, still no food. We decided as a family to leave this restaurant and take our business elsewhere. I find it very interesting that when I approached the server to inform her that I was leaving and that I was paying for my cup of tea, she stated that our food was almost ready, she thinks. It goes without saying that I won't ever attempt to dine here again.
Thank you for the reply. Now, 1st of all, I was never informed of the 45 minute wait time for dine in meals. I would have mentioned that in my review. I agree that the COVID-19 pandemic has created quite a strain on our entire community, but I chose to support your restaurant based on its purported reputation and the ball was dropped. Communication goes a long way, and unfortunately, my family and I didn't receive any notice of your kitchen's stress. Had I been informed, this review wouldn't exist.Quality service to ALL customers is duty. We simply didn't receive this service. Excuses can be offered as to why this happened, but I stand by my critique. I will consider patronizing Tandoori Flame if I am in the area, and make reservations, but as I am not in the area often, this won't occur anytime soon. Thank you for your time....
Read moreYesterday my family ordered almost $50 worth of food from this restaurant. We usually order Tandoori Fish, garlic naan, pappad with chutneys, rice, and navrattan korma. The woman that answered the phone(she was extremely rude and would not let my family member finish before talking over her) told us that there was a party that was going on and that they were too busy to make Tandoori Fish and Navrattan Korma and that we would be getting the Fish pakora instead. We said no and she proceeded to tell us that the Malai Chicken was better and that it could be made mild and fresh for us and that fresh Paneer Tikka Masala could be made instead of the Navrattan Korma. We agreed and still ordered the garlic naan and when we brought the food back home, it was so terrible. The chicken was not fresh, it was oily and not cooked throughly. The paneer tikka masala was super bland and not fresh and the naan was hard and burned around the edges. When we called back, the same woman told us to put the chicken in the microwave for 5-10 minutes and it would be fine. If we wanted to put our food in the microwave, we could have made our own food at home, which is probably what we should have done. The food was terrible and the service even worse and all they cared about was the party that was happening that day. We buy food every week from this restaurant and now, we will never come to this restaurant again and we will tell our family and friends not to come here either. We will just go to Mumbai Grill, the food and service...
Read moreWhen we arrived, I ordered Goat Biryani, which is what I always order whenever my family and I go to an Indian Restaurants. At first taste, it was so tasteless and I knew what I was given was not Goat Biryani. I’m from West Africa and goat meat is one of our staple meat so I know the taste of goat meat. When I complained, nothing was said to me and the waitress just walked away. After 30 minutes or so later, a tiny plate was brought with “goat curry.” This was also not goat meat. I don’t know what type of meat they’re serving as “goat” meat, but it’s definitely not goat meat and it’s very deceptive to lie about that. If they’re lying about this, what else could they be lying about? I ordered the Chicken Biryani and left the “Goat Biryani” barely touched. I ended up packing the Chicken Biryani to go; which I know I’m not going to eat anyway because the 1st one was tasteless and didn’t have the right meat in it.
When we went up to pay, my husband paid before I could see our receipt. When I checked our receipt, I saw that they charged us for the biryani I didn’t eat. When I tried to talk to them about it, they all just stood there and didn’t say a thing. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an Indian Restaurant; trust me, my family and I love Indian Cuisines so this was not my 1st time eating at an...
