Omg, I can not believe that Wyndham would put their name on this chain of hotels Super 8. We own timeshare points with Wyndham and the resorts we stay at annually are beautiful and clean. Which is why we assumed this place would be clean and decent. But, you know what they say about assuming. This place was digusting. My husband and I went to see the eclipse. All hotels in the area were booked. We came for 3 nights and I wanted to leave as soon as we walked in to the room. There was a horrible smell as you walked into the room. The only room we could get was a double bed. I told my husband to check for bed bugs and the cleanliness . Omg, the mattress had blood stains all over , plus what looked like urine stains and other stains. Disgusting. We didn't use that bed, thank god the other bed was clean. We brought a flat sheet from home to lay over the bed and our own pillows/blankets. Bath tub didn't look clean. Their was a couple of chairs in the roon that were very dirty with white spots and tears. I tried looking for other hotels and nothing available. I was ready to book a hotel that was $499 a night but only one night was available and we needed 3 nights. We stayed because my husband really wanted to see the eclipse. We bought wipes, body wipes, and air freshener. Because we were soooooo disgusted we didn't even shower nor did we even use the water. We had body wipes and bottled water to wash up and brush our teeth. That's how disgusting it was. We only came back to the room to sleep. The hallway stinks, the carpet in the hallway was really nasty looking. Smelled like smoke and musty. I guess the hallway is where guests smoke. I told my husband that if I was homeless and was gifted free nights at this place , I would not accept. I would rather sleep on a bench then to sleep her. The nights were free for us since we had accrued points with the Wyndham card. The reason we stayed was for my husband and because the 2nd bed was clean and we had brought out sheet, pillows and blankets. But, NEVER AGAIN will we stay at a Super 8. I looked at reviews for other Super 8 and they are all really bad and just as disgusting. I will be writing a letter to Wyndham. People should not have to endure a place like this. The room was so musty and dry that I could not breathe in the night. I'd get so stuffy. I had to buy vicks and take my antihistamine. I feel bad for people that can not afford to stay at better hotels. Just because this is a cheap hotel it doesn't mean it has to be a dirty dump. People deserve a clean place. We couldn't leave fast enough. Check out day we were up by 6:30 , got ready as soon as possible and we were out a little before 8. Couldn't leave fast enough. I guess who ever owns this place loves filth. They're home must be just as bad. 🤮🤮🤮

NOT kid friendly, or safe. Several attempted shootings are evident. I say attempted because the problem is apparently so bad Raja (owner) has invested in bullet proof windows!! This was a last minute booking as we traveled through.. I suppose I should have pulled over and dug into the location a bit more however... I would have thought Wyndham would have higher standards than this for a location with their name on it... My first mistake.. Upon arrival there was a strong smell of flea treatment / animals but I was assured the upstairs rooms would not have had (as many) animals snuck in as they don't even allow them to rent the rooms there with animals so... being near midnight and exhausted from the drive we opted to complete the transaction. Though we had already paid online there was a surprise deposit that the attendant advised to pay in cash to avoid the $5 fee to use a card... Though we were looking forward to the pool the following morning we were told the pool hadnt been set up in years.. again, we decided it wasnt a deal breaker though... We are assigned the 2nd floor to avoid the animal dander as our son is mildly allergic and trudged our way up the stairs with any valuables and luggage only to be hit in the face with cigarette smoke both stale and fresh... When we entered the room we of course looked around and found our window was one of the many windows that had apparently obstructed an attempted bullet entry point! Guess us parents will sleep in the bed near the outer wall huh?? Yet again, another mistake but... it's only a few hours right? Definitely not... we witnessed people digging in the garbage and begging as we gathered items to leave and it just got worse. There was a line for checkout and they needed time to confirm there were no missing towels or damage before returning the deposit we had paid upon arrival so we went to the car for a minute. I went back in while the hubby and son stayed in the car and found myself in the middle of an extreme confrontation. The man was screaming at the staff, spat on the BULLET PROOF divider that was between him and the owner of the establishment... Needless to say it ended with the guy threatening the room with the gun on his waist... Absolutely terrifying experience and found myself even more disappointed when the owner said he was 'too busy' to deal with the cops and thought it wouldn't make a difference anyways... Families traveling through should be aware this is no place to stop... Despicable behavior enabled by a 'man' who is unwilling to stand up for what is right...

Extremely Disappointing Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Super 8 Indianapolis South Side, and I must say that it was far from satisfactory. From the moment I arrived, the level of service and overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. Upon check-in, I encountered a staff member who was rude and unhelpful. She seemed more focused on finishing her lunch than assisting me with the booking process, which made me feel like a second-class citizen. The condition of the room was unacceptable. To my dismay, the door to the room had been left ajar, and the pillows were not only lacking pillowcases but also stained and dirty. The bedding displayed burn marks, indicating a lack of attention to detail in housekeeping. Furthermore, the absence of a fire smoke alarm on the wall raised concerns about safety. Additionally, there was a noticeable hole under the sink, providing a view into the adjacent room. Throughout the night, loud screaming from other guests disturbed my sleep. The general maintenance of the hotel was also lacking. The floors were greasy and appeared unclean, while the outdated lighting created a dim and uninviting atmosphere. To my surprise, there was no phone in the room to contact the front desk for any inquiries or concerns. When I brought these issues to the attention of the staff, I was met with indifference and was told that there was nothing that could be done to address the problems. Frustrated, I contacted guest services to file a complaint, understanding that the resolution process could be time-consuming. To add to my disappointment, during check-out, I had to endure a 15-minute wait, despite being initially informed that it would only take two minutes, as they needed to inspect the already damaged room for new issues. In summary, I cannot recommend the Super 8 Indianapolis South Side based on my experience. The hotel's overall lack of attention to customer service, cleanliness, and safety standards is deeply concerning. As a guest, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and care. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment for your accommodation needs.

The place was disgusting! They overcharged me by $62. Bug and mouse infestations reported; nothing done. I was supposed to get the “deposit” back when I left and didn’t. someone tried to set the dump on fire (rightfully so) because of the issues they had by sticking a remote in the microwave. The fire alarm went off incessantly forever. The “maintenance man” had no tools, and asked every man he saw to borrow theirs. The tv didn’t work, there were lines through it. Hell, we had to use our own batteries to even use the remote for the tv, and it didn’t even have a cover to keep the things in there. The WiFi didn’t work. If you tried to use it they would kick you off it, or it was just as crappy as the service at the hotel. The phone didn’t work, after plugging it back into the burnt up black phone jack there wasn’t even a light on, let alone a dial tone. The staff didn’t work; didn’t even ask if we needed the room cleaned, towels, bedding, NOTHING. The toilet didn’t work. In order to flush it you had to take the back off it, and pull the chain yourself. Sketchy people running in and out all the time, which gave my husband no rest. The hallways reeked of pot smoke, cigarettes, curry, and a lifetime of bad decisions. The vending/ice machine for both floors were filthy as well as covered in mold at the ceiling. The entire spout of the ice machine as well as the top part where the ice dumps had some type of grime and fungus in it too. The shower didn’t work. It also didn’t get hot. We stood there for a good ten minutes waiting for it to get somewhere close to warm, and it didn’t happen. After an hour of waiting, running in and out of the bathroom it was lukewarm at best. The walls and carpet in the room were covered in black mold. (Hence my having pneumonia, and my husband has some type of infection in his chest as well). There was drug paraphernalia in the floor and inside of the drawers of the nightstand on either side. When I told the front desk about the issues I asked for a refund and was refused. I even offered to let them keep the first night’s cost but let me go for a refund, again was told no. This is precisely why people need to pass a thorough investigation before being able to open any type of hospitality business. The “breakfast” was trash. It was more like giving someone starving a taste of food then yanking it away. It was a bad joke. When it came to the selection, there really was none. I woke up the morning after the initial stay with a mouse in my bed. This place has been reported to the better business bureau! My husband and I have spent well over $1,000 since June 13, 2025 just on my skin as well as medicine from being treated with pneumonia due to the black mold and deplorable conditions. It needs to be shut down, (I would say condemned) remove everything inside and treat every inch of the property for anything communicable, remodeled inside and out, then, without a shadow of doubt; under new management. Unless these D-bags are the owners….then I say, demo that whole thing! As for the people who manage it, as well as the employees; they need to be fired, sued, and prosecuted. I have seriously been considering contacting an attorney. It’s not fair for anyone to be treated so poorly, let alone deal with the things my husband and I have thus far. It seems as if this is just the beginning. Today I have yet again, spent hours on the phone with Booking.com the Hotel itself, just to be hung up on, and now Wyndham! I keep being pushed off for 24 hours, 48 hours, a week, two weeks, and now I’m really ready to lose it. I’m sick as a dog, trying to beg for justice by receiving the refund I was promised by two companies! This is a disgrace. Someone do...

The place was disgusting! The help was rude. I was overcharged by $62. The employees didn’t work. They didn’t even ask if we needed the room cleaned, towels, bedding, NOTHING. I legit lost over $100 in groceries due to the uncleanliness of the dump; which caused the bugs and mice. The “fridge” was frozen over at the top all the way to the next to last shelf in the bottom, which ruined everything in there. The toilet didn’t work. In order to flush it you had to take the back off it, and pull the chain yourself. The outdoor pool was covered with what looked like a tarp, and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned or removed since the first year the hotel was open. There were sketchy people in and out of the hallways day and night. The hallways reeked of pot smoke. The shower didn’t work. It also didn’t get hot. It was nasty. The bedding was filthy.
