Underground Printing — Local services in Iowa City

Very disappointing experience in my first visit. Saw on their website they do embroidery & screen printing. When I finally found the store (very difficult to find where it’s located) & directions on site are very poor. I asked about getting either embroidery or screen print done on a jersey. Website says they did both & that there was no minimum. The guy immediately tells me he can’t help me. No explanation. Just that it’s not something they do, although it completely contradicts their website. I then asked if he knew where I could check & he didn’t offer any suggestions. Just said he didn’t know. Weirdest experience I’ve had with a vendor. I went to two other shops later & both went out of their way to help me. Needless to say, I won’t be back here & will share my experience with my circle. This isn’t how you do business.

follow-up: you are still in denial. It says on your site you do both. It says nothing about the qualification on whether or not it's on something brought in. I mean, who needs another Iowa shirt vendor? They are literally all over Iowa & online. As far as helping direct me, you showed no interest in looking up where I could go. You just shut it down to get me out of the store. This was in stark contrast to every other place I visited that day. I have spent the past 4 years fundraising for various charities and organizations and I have found one of the best ways to fund raise is to sell t-shirts and apparel. Over the past few years I have worked with five different screen printing companies that were either too slow, inconsistent, unable to produce the product I had in mind or had poor customer service. I contact Underground Printing in a last minute attempt to get shirt made for a fundraising event that I was hosting for a local rescue shelter. The company I had been working with was taking far too long to address what I was needing. Paul reached out to me the same day as I sent my request for information and we were able to have everything finalized and paid within the afternoon. I received the shirts that I needed for my event in time, and they looked fantastic! We have already almost sold out of the shirts and are currently working on an online event for our fundraising event this weekend.
