OMG, you’ll absolutely love this place if you love a management team that doesn’t enforce anything! They’re masters of sending warning emails but never actually doing anything, so feel free to live your best, rule free life! The staff are fantastic at pretending to care about residents until you move in. They’re real pros at small talk and being friendly of course, so professional!
Parking, my favorite part. No assigned spots, and the lease agreement says there’s no guaranteed parking. Guests park wherever they please in residents’ spots, and enforcement is practically non-existent. It’s a perfect setup if you love bringing friends over. They can park in residents' parking, and nobody will ever notice. Plus, the amenities are open for the whole world. Non residents sneak in all the time, and security couldn’t care less. It’s like a community of rule breakers united!
You can reserve your EV parking spot for just $250 a month, charging included. But if someone else parks in your spot, which is pretty much a given, management will tell you to call the tow company yourself if you want. They're literally like It’s up to you, not our problem. How exciting would it be to tow someone’s car and have them get mad at you? Potential for drama and beef? Love that they care so much just in case my life gets too bored. And, of course, management still won’t care. Awesome!
If you’re someone who thrives in an environment where rules are mere suggestions and management is blissfully hands off, you’ll fit right in here. Management has this amazing ability to dodge issues and complaints. It’s truly impressive.
I can’t wait to see more people breaking parking rules, non-residents enjoying the amenities, no security at night, and the trash room overflowing with big boxes and furniture.
Thanks, Edition team, for offering such a unique and unexpectedly entertaining living experience in a place...

What you will be unpleasantly surprise about and that is something that will drive you away from living on this intersection of ALTON and VON CARMAN are EXTREMELY loud vehicles who purposely rev their engine. The issue has progressively gotten worse, seriously. If you want to rent here I encourage you to park on a parking lot adjacent to this intersection and observe what happens between 6:00 pm and 2:00 am at night. There’s street racing, loud engine reving - and it’s not luxury cars, it’s some not well people who purposely disturb the people living at the Broadstone and adjacent Rize Builing. This harassment will lead to economic damages for these communities as people are moving away - it’s impossible to sleep, study or have any quiet time. Besides noise pollution the buildings literary shake when the cars rev their engines. It’s impossible to keep the window open. Best part - the Irvine police department which is located two blocks down the street are helpless, they are not doing anything. The issue is out of managment’s control.
People who bought nearby houses are devastated since it’s impossible to live here. Imagine if you have to spend at least a night or two here… I’m not even going to mention the homeless that started wondering in the community regularly. I guess I just did.
Save yourself headache and spend a few hours any evening especially Thursday, Fridays, Saturday and Sunday night at the Alton and Von carman intersection - thank me in your prayers because we can not wait for the lease to be over to get out of here! Read this again. Thanks. Good luck finding acceptable...
Read moreI had a terrible move out experience here. Lots of shady activities happened: I didn’t receive a pre move out inspection like I had agreed to with the leasing office. I have the form for this and when it was the day of my inspection they didn’t show up at all despite me waiting the whole day for them. When I asked them about it, they told me I should have called. Instead of taking accountability, greystar management tried to shift the blame to my boyfriend and I, asking us why WE didn’t call THEM despite us having pre agreed on this day They are inflating prices of paint and despite the apartment having normal wear and tear, they are claiming they need to charge me for a full repaint of the apartment. Maintenance told my boyfriend and I the apartment looked good and now all of a sudden shady greystar management is trying to charge me extra When I lived here, a dog crapped on my welcome mat because the management does nothing about pet owners and their lack of responsibility with their pets. I was so disappointed until maintenance offered to clean the mat but there was a huge stain on my mat after this experience. I had to throw it away and to this day management doesn’t know who did it.
Overall, I’m so disappointed with Greystar management, I thought these apartments would be better managed, having the name “luxury” to them, but honestly it felt very mediocre and ghetto. The gym didn’t have the towels promised because residents steal them and management does nothing. The peloton bikes didn’t even work, internet is down most of the time and isn’t fixed for weeks, no parking spaces are ever available despite us being upcharged for another one, and the building was flooding all the time. I’m glad I moved out...
