Irvine Valley College Library — Local services in Irvine

I when by the IVC library today after 2 attempts of returning my books. I drove like 20 miles twice once during the holidays to find out the google hours were wrong. The library was closed, and it showed it was open. The following time the library google hours showed it closes at 10pm when I got there, they said they close at 2pm. The google hours are showing the wrong information. When I was there today, I made sure to let the representative know. She simply said we can't update google hours here". She didn't seem to care much. no effort was made to forward the info to her superiors or anything. In addition, she took my books and said because I was returning them late, she couldn't give me a receipt or an email confirmation or anything to show the books were returned. I am very disappointed of IVC being a well-recognized college you would think these small details are common sense that any company does. I don't understand why IVC library doesn't have these small details in line. Please update google hours and holiday hours would be nice. Also, please provide students with confirmation on returned books even if they are...

The library is too noisy. It’s all the freshmen that couldn’t get into UCI. And they hangout there all day watching tv on their phones taking up space and talking loudly. And the ones who need to study don’t have a place to do so. There is never enough room to sit. Everyone is touching elbow to elbow and there are not enough outlets to charge your laptop etc. Everyone talks and has no respect towards the others around them...

Very nice local community classes with great professors. Since IVC is smaller in size, classes are more personalized with bigger classes ranging from 30-40. Plenty of parking which will soon require a permit but as of know due to covid-19 is free. Offers a wide variety of...
