I absolutely adore this school. The EOPS team is amazing and they are always there to help. It's easy to get appointments with counselors. Beep used to be in the EOPS and as I recall she was amazing and lite up the office with her smile.

They have been supportive and helped me through every struggle. Also because it's a smaller school I feel you get the best out of it VS. a private college.

I guess the only con for me is their law enforcement on campus is a bit too much. There was an on campus police who told me I couldn't ride my razor scooter and to place it in my car. Well not everyone has that option to just simply place it in their car because I use public transportation.

He said it was against the rules and he saw that I was a work-study student. I read all the rules and regulations online before purchasing my razor scooter and contacted the Police department.

They told me that there was nothing on the rules and regulations that stated it was against their enforcement code. I always got the stink eye from that one officer. Also if you just drop off a student in front of the campus-they will yell at you. obviously there's a red curb but people don't have time to drop off their student at another location.

Overall I can say IVC is the best school to actually reach your educational goals. Their Paralegal program is outstanding and they are ABA Approved. I think this would be a good school if you're into law, business, math, science, or...

This community college is a gold mine! Initially, I took a course to brush up on algebra to help the grandsons with homework. Thereafter, when I chose to set a good example and was earning my Summa Cum Laude Undergrad degree at UCR; this school was a Godsend! It is SO MUCH CHEAPER! It runs on a Semester system so you have longer to absorb the material. It was infinitely easier to take a foreign language at this level and, I repeat, much more economical and five feet from my house. The campus is beautiful, well thought out landscaping, a decent cafeteria, well run bookstore and (with all schools) not enough parking. LOL. The administration is stellar. Great support system. Yum Cafeteria food. This is not the best food in the world, but I do enjoy dinning on campus. Most of the time, I head straight from work to class without grabbing a bite to eat thank goodness for the IVC cafeteria. I usually never have to wait and the service is great.

I usually order the Turkey and bacon sandwich which is not on the menu. Just ask the server to make it for you. This really hit the spot. Also, the tuna melt is not too bad. And guess what?? They were Thai Ice tea! That is gangsta. I guess this area is Asian influenced so you have a great option when soda just won't cut it. The cashier is also friendly and will explain charges and once in a while throw in a 10% discount, even if I don't have student ID on me. Credit card is accepted for amount over 5 dollars.
