Northwood Community Center — Local services in Irvine

I love this park, the kids can play in the castle like structure next to swings and two different sizes play structures. There is sand and no woodchips, great areas under trees to have a picnic, as well as picnic table, one is first come first serve (table#1) and the others are for rent. It's next to a soccer field and the northwood community center that has a daycare and bathrooms. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it's soooooooo hot, you have to stand under the shade of light posts or hope your kid wants to play under the play structures the whole time. Recently came here for a family member birthday party and had a great time with my wife and kids! The park has a huge castle type play area. The park has mostly sand and also the soft asphalt type ground. small med and large play areas for all ages. Swings for babies, toddlers, little kids and big. Handball court, half basketball court, tennis court, baseball/softball/kickball field. Lots of grass areas for soccer or volleyball (if you bring a net). There are two parking lots and some street parking. Large picnic areas for parties (you have to reserve ahead of time) The park is really great lots of fun...

Great playground. My kids have nicknamed this park "Castle Park". The Castle and multiple bridges are fun for older kids to play on. Also has smaller equipment that is great for small children too. Soccer fields, Softball backstops, picnic pavilion, handball courts, etc. The new community center is also very nice with restroom facilities.
