I don’t go to cafes often, but The Mugs has become a frequent favorite of mine in Irvine. It’s conveniently located next to Zion Market with plenty of parking in the lot. There’s a good amount of seating both indoors and outside, and most people seem to come here to grab a drink and get some work or studying done—it has a chill, productive vibe.
I really like the variety they offer when it comes to both drinks and food. In the past, I’ve tried some of their hot espresso drinks like the horchata latte, which was delicious. Lately though, I’ve been obsessed with one of their spring specials: the banana matcha latte. One recommendation I would give: If it's possible/practical, it may help to make the small room into one long table and long benches on either side to encourage people to sit with others without feeling like you're intruding. Many people like myself go alone to study but I feel bad taking up way more space than I need. I wouldn't mind if someone wanted to sit at my table but usually people are...

I went there last week to do some work for an hour or two bc my office was unavailable last week due to repairs and circumstances and this place was next to impossible to find a place and to do some work. For its audience it is attracting the place it way too small and way too cramped, so it is elbow to elbow.
So this happens when a place fails to strategically plan. For what type of audience does it need what size of a place? You fail to answer that question and you have a packed place w college kids who just order one small cup of coffee and occupy a seat for hours and use to the place...
