Boba Square — Restaurant in Irvine

Boba square sits quietly in the corner of the shopping plaza. We were greeted by two lovely ladies whom seemed to be enjoying a conversation that continued even after our order was placed. On the menu you'll find your typical choices of milk tea, from oolong to Jasmine and cheese creams topping which instantly caught my attention. Another gentleman had served our drinks and advised us how to drink the cheese since I'm new to it. It is definitely different from past milk teas I've experienced. The initial flavor of the tea hits but leaves a buttery taste as if you just had a pastry of some sort. I suggest not mixing if you order this because it looses all credibility and becomes sugar water. The inside is well decorated and perfect for a book or catching up...

I went here today thinking I’ll get same drink, not great but it will fill the crave a little, turned out new people are running the place now, the atmosphere was different too, brighter and better energy when you walk in, the cashier was a nice young man, definitely going to check their popcorn chicken next time, drinks were too sweet before but today my drink was perfect, got jasmine milk tea, finished it all, I could never drink the whole thing before because was too sweet, but not these ones, definitely be back trying other stuff, I like supporting local businesses, specially the one make good changes, if your near by...

The rewards system made me frustrated. The cashier never explained it. After I found out and asked, she told me that I can register it but I could not collect rewards after my purchase. Then next time I self ordered the drink in the machine. After I was done, the cashier told me that the reward system was different from the cashier check out. I could not get the reward point! Then today, my kid went ahead to order the drink, and after my kid paid and asked the cashier (same) the reward, she said we had to enter the reward number before!
