I walk through this park every day. Shame on the City of Irvine for its dilapidated state. The landscaping arm of The City made a not even half hearted pass at planting grass in the field. To no one's great surprise, nothing came up. It looks terrible. The supervisor told me that it wasn't a "major" park and they really didn't care to devote many resources to fix it up. Not even grass seed? Really? Don't even get me started about the rest of the grounds. While the grass is thinner than a guy with a comb-over, the grounds by the disgusting picnic area are constantly flooded with water. Hello IRWD, are you listening?? We're supposed to be conserving water and The City is flooding and killing our poor trees. I asked the supervisor about that too. He just shrugged and said it wasn't his problem. Then there is the paltry picnic area. The tables are dirty beyond ever hoping to be clean again and the patio area is all mossed and mouldy. Can't we PLEASE have a reboot here? We want it torn down and rebuilt. New patio. New picnic tables. Trim the trees and cut way back on the massive over watering. Finally, we have a totally unused volleyball pit. NO ONE USES IT. Please take it out and give us more picnic tables with a shade structure. Irvine is not a poor city. Newer areas have decent facilities from The City, what about us?? So, City Council, Quit spending all your time and our money on things we don't want in the Great Park and show a little respect and responsibility for the...
Read moreCute little park. Soccer field, volleyball pit, basketball court, kiddy play ground. Actually love this park. Ya it's small and that's the best part. We take our Whippet (35 mph) here to run laps. He loves it too. He totally stays within the soccer field, bothers no one and when he's done, he gets his very own drink of water. Right now during COVID, the play ground is closed but it's a lovely walk-through park on our way to 6mile walks. If you aren't into "long walks" don't...

Even as small as it is, it still has two large kids play structures, a soccer field, half basketball court, and a volleyball area. ...
