I wasnât going to post this, but I will. I came to this place to get my phone fixed about two weeks ago. After a few days, I noticed the screen clicking things that I did not click on (ghost screen), and I already knew this could get worse because I have experience working with Apple. So, I shouldnât have taken my phone to be fixed anywhere outside of Apple in the first place, but I was low on money and needed my phone.
I called and explained what was happening with the phone. The guy on the phone said it may be a faulty screen and may need to be replaced, and that they would take care of it. I said, "okay, Iâll have to come Wednesday or Thursday because I just donât have the time to come back right now. Is that ok?" That man said yes, it was fine.
When I got to the place, a guy met me up front. I explained to him what was going on, and what was happening with the phone. Now, mind you, the phone had been messing up all the way up until the store. He asked to see the phone, and said it wasnât doing it to him and started coming up with all these reasons why my phone was messing up. I explained to him that none of that was the reason, and that my phone didnât do any of this prior to them fixing the phone. He kept insisting that the heat outside messed up my phone, which was also false. Iâve been in Texas with this phone for years, and this has never happened.
At this point, I let him know I worked with Apple products and I know a nice amount about this phone, and none of his reasoning was correct. He then told me they would not fix the phone for free because I came in a week later. Had I come in the next day, they would have fixed it for free, which is insane. When Apple fixes a screen, these issues do happen. They take the phone back, no charge to you, maybe a shipping fee at most. But if you talk to a manager, they usually take the fee off, correct the issue, and thatâs the end.
Now, since I have gone to someone outside of Apple, Apple will have nothing to do with the phone because now itâs considered damaged. This, I already knew, but I didnât have $200 to spend at that time for Apple to fix it. So let me be a lesson to myself and others: pay Apple to fix Apple products or go to someone Apple approves of. That way, you wonât waste a completely fine paid off phone that just needed a screen fix.
The man said if I had issues still, he would fix it for a discounted price, and itâs going to be a no for me Iâm not paying you again to fix an issue that wasnât on me. Iâll take the lesson...
Read moreSo i went to this place by my job to have them check the battery and back covering. They said they charge 55 for battery replacement, but when i asked what the brand is, they said it's not a samsung battery it's a generic one. I asked isnt that going to mess up the phone putting a foreign battery in it? He of course said no. I told him I'm trading the phone in and not trying to be stuck paying money because they took the phone apart and noticed the incorrect battery was put in it. He said he can't close the back without putting a new battery in because the battery busted. He said he was going to see if he had one and let me know, otherwise he will have to order one. He said he will check my phone to see what battery i need. He came back talking about he put a new battery in. I told him i didnt even agree to getting the battery fixed, all he said was he needed to check if he had a battery! What if i didnt have $55, i would have been standing there looking stupid. He said car chargers are really bad for your phone. It drains your battery faster. But I've never had this issue with any phone ever! It's been a couple weeks and this battery is terrible. The battery dies fast and it takes FOREVER to charge! Please stay away from this scam shop! They will make...
Read moreI was looking for a new cellular service and have been eyeing the Ultra Mobile company online. One day I was walking by and saw they have Ultra Mobile services, but never stopped in to inquire. Well my provider decided to adjust my service date to keep me from unlocking my phone and I said it was not worth it. Today I went in to inquire services for my unlocked Moto One Zoom phone and got the services for 6 months at $60.00 for 1GB of data, unlimited talk, and unlimited text. Glad I stopped by, because I do not have to worry about a bill on that phone for 6 months. Now since my primary phone IPhone 6s Plus was locked I decided to go ahead and purchase an IPhone 8 Plus and use Ultra Mobile but to do a monthly plan because I will be able to adjust my plans as I see fit on a month to month basis which is what I enjoy. I love having the freedom to pick any plan I want each month. Overall, the customer service was great and I walked away a happy camper. I came back because I had a brain fart with my international unlocked Moto One Zoom phone and he was polite with helping me with that. Also, make sure to have cash on hand when you go and...
