Donut lovers — Restaurant in Irving

Edit: the donut shop is under new ownership and they are even more welcoming than the previous owners. They have updated the register as well so you can see pictures of all the items being rung up. The donuts remain remain delicious as ever!

I love Kimmy Donuts! The donuts are delicious and they even have some unique items that I have never seen offered at other donut shops.

The first is pictured in the box and looks like a giant drop biscuit. It is essentially a biscuit with cheese and ground sausage mixed into the dough. It is really really good and is my all time favorite! I've never come across this item at any other donut shop and never leave Kimmy donuts without it.

The next item that I just tried for the first time today is the little spinach pastry square with the lattice top. Another customer was picking up two for his wife and he told me she loved them so I bought one and I now understand why. Definitely recommend trying at least once.

Last but not least of course are the donuts. They are always fresh with melt in your mouth donut holes and filled donuts that are filled to order depending on which filling you want. They offer raspberry, lemon, and custard. I tried the raspberry and loved it! The other nice thing about her donuts is kimmy offers mini apple fritters (pictured in the box) in case the normal size is too large and today she even had mini cinnamon rolls.

The donut case picture was from a previous visit, and while the case may look small at quick glance don't be tricked into thinking the selection isn't good. There is definitely something inside to please everyone's taste.

Lastly, the owners have always been welcoming and polite at every single visit to their shop which is why I will continue to return and decided to review...

As much as I hate to do bad reviews this one is a must I went into this donut shop and I visited here very frequently at least two to three times a week I gave her a $20 bill and she gave me change for a 5 I told her that this is not what I gave you and she was adamant that that was what I had gave her and her mom stepped in and said I seen what you gave her when there is a store full of people they are trying to get everyone out of I'm almost positive there's no way she could have seen our transaction she was helping another customer so I asked her after everyone had left out because I didn't want to cause a scene if she would double-check because I was sure that I only had $20 Bill and won $5 bill I only had one $5 bill left so that only made since to at least ask .they didn't even take the time out to see I absolutely loved this shop she used to make these spinach croissants that I love so much craffle that I loved so much the fact that she didn't even take time to value my business and to double check to make sure that she didnt make a mistake only shows to me that you don't respect me as a customer I'm always there I guess I'll have to find a new location because if you can't be worthy then I don't want to...

The ONLY reason I am giving this place a one star is because of the customer service received from the owner. The first time I came in it was an early morning and she had a little attitude on her… she is definitely not friendly! However I said cool maybe she just having a bad morning and continued on…. Now y’all them donuts are good I can’t lie on that! Once again this review is only because the owner attitude is horrible. The second time I went same thing no different and this last and final time I went her husband was helping me with my order and she came out of nowhere. The husband was much nicer and friendlier. I didn’t mind taking my time to order so he could understand me. Not only did she rush me but then she put all my items in one bag! When asked for another bag I received an attitude with eyes rolled. If it wasn’t for these damn donuts being so good I would have walked right out of there and went somewhere else. However after this experience I can truly say I won’t be returning no matter how...
