The restaurant is beautiful and neat. Loved the prayer wheels. Interior size is comparable to IrvingKnK, just a bit bigger.

We wet there for laphing, but as a restaurant with ā€œThakaliā€ on their name, I HAD to try their thakali thali.

The laphing was on our table within 5-10 minutes. The Wai Wai Laphing cost us $11, and the taste was okay. Nothing extraordinary. I wanted to try the Jhol Laphing, but didn’t see it on their menu.

But the thali took around 35 minutes, which seemed like forever.

After all this waiting, this was the thali I was served.

I loved how they pour ghee into the rice right in front of our eyes. Not inside the kitchen, not on the side. There’s a beauty in someone else pouring hot ghee into your rice, I loved it!

Service was minimal.

Talking about the Thakali thali, while the thali itself is big, the portion on the initial plate is abysmal.

I’m talking about One Piece cauli (seriously?), One spoon saag, Two piece mula achar, Half spoon tomato-based momo achar.

It’s a good thing they allow you to add portions of food onto your thali, as any thakali thali should.

But i still think no thali should be served with one tiny piece of cauliflower in the name of tarkari.

Needless to say, the thali was submediocre.

I was expecting better from a restaurant with Thakali in their...

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD!!!! This place should be ashamed to call itself a restaurant. I ordered takeout thinking I was about to enjoy a nice meal. What I got was a bag of expired trash. I live just 3 miles away, so I expected the food to still be fresh and warm. Instead, I opened the bag to find stinky, spoiled momos and a chicken thali that tasted like it had been sitting out for days. The rice was old and hard, the chicken was cold, drenched in oil, and absolutely disgusting.

What made it worse? I actually tipped them, gave them extra money to serve me garbage. And when I called to let them know, hoping they’d at least listen, they were beyond rude and defensive. Not even a hint of apology or accountability just excuses and attitude. No ownership, no empathy, just attitude!!!!

This isn’t just disappointing it’s unacceptable. If you care about your health, money, and basic respect as a customer, stay far away from this place. Save yourself the stomachache...

I had lunch with my friends last Saturday, October 5, and we enjoyed a variety of dishes: chicken thali, shrimp fried rice, fish curry, syabhale, and chicken momo. The thali and shrimp fried rice were outstanding, while I found the chicken momo and fish curry to be good, albeit not as impressive. I would still rate them a solid 4 out of 5. The service was welcoming, particularly from the young guy who attended to our table. Since then, I’ve been ordering lunch through DoorDash, and the taste has remained consistently excellent. Today, I decided to try the chicken fried rice despite some negative reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out. Despite they missed my achar today, the food is great! I hope they continue to maintain this level of consistency in...

We had a good time here. Good ambience and sever (aakriti) was great. Price is reasonable and has ample parking space. If you are looking for authentic Thakali/Nepali thali, this is a go to place in Dallas.
