One word to summarize my first experience here, WOW!

Just to provide a little background story; I have not cut my hair in almost 2 years. I have box died my hair black for many years and had recently started using some store bought products to try and lift the black out. With that being said I came into the salon looking like a calico cat! I had blackish browns, oranges, yellows, AND my natural roots were growing out. Least to say, my hair was a hot MESS!

I called in to get an idea for pricing - customer service was GREAT! They were very friendly and wanted to provide me with an accurate quote, they asked me to send a picture of what my hair looked like and what I was hoping to achieve.

They followed up! - I am busy and forgetful and had not had time to send the pictures in, Jeanet personally called me to verify I had the right contact information and to make sure I didn't have any additional questions.

FAST service - I ended up stopping by the salon so that Jeanet could look at my hair in person. She had availability and I was free, so we started work immediately!

Professional care - Jeanet took the time to understand what I wanted. She explained exactly what she had in her mind and made sure I was comfortable with it. I really had no clue what exactly I wanted and I am kind of glad I didn't! ... which leads me to my final point...

AMAZING results - Jeanet corrected the mishmash of colors I had in my hair, gave me a color that really complements my skin tone, matched my eyebrows to my hair color, AND gave me a cut that I am SO happy with!

All in all, my experience here was fabulous! My hair received the experience of a professional and I personally received an experience like I was with family! I had so much fun spending time there and can't wait to go back for my next touch up. - I...

I just had a great experience here. I'm new to Irving and have been looking for a stylist. I've been looking at this place because it's in the neighborhood. Last Fall I went from below the shoulders to Gordon Ramsay short. It was a good choice; I've had so many layered cuts it was just all over map. But ... .

I've had one haircut in the 6 months since I cut it all off and it was time to get a plan. I walked over on a whim. First: this place is spotless. I was greeted by the very professional 'Braiden.' I have no idea if that's how he spells it, but it's how I remember it.

Sat down, explained what I'd done, and where I thought I wanted to go. There wasn't a lot for him to work with, but my gracious it feels a whole lot better!!! I could feel the difference in how my hair moved as I walked home in the wind. It was even fun to play with when I got home.

I've sat in some pretty impressive chairs in Boston and Cambrige, MA; and in Boca Raton I think it was Christian Siriano cutting in the chair next to mine. He was on one of the fashion reality shows at the time.

Braiden did an excellent job at an excellent price. It will not be 3 months before my next haircut. Thank you!

1 month follow up: it just gets better. This guy is a technical artist. I described the back of my head as looking like 'a kickin chicken.' I know, it's growing out, but with precision snips Braidon got it under control without sacrificing length. AND I watched him work on a gentleman's very short on the sides haircut. Asked for a long bob with ombre highlights. Since i have thin hair she suggested to give me a few layers also, i accepted. I ve had layers done many times but this student didnt know what she was doing. I ended up with a mullet! (Not kidding) Shortest layers at the very top and no fullness to the rest of my head. I told her i wasnt happy but she suggested it would look different with the ombre. A different hairdresser did this for me, and that was a mess also! Not at all what i showed her from the picture. She told me my hair needed treatment since it was so damaged, and i accepted but she did not explain that the treatment would turn my hair blond all around. I was expecting blond ombre highlights only! I expressed my opinion and let them know i was not happy, but all the hairdressers there embarrassed me infront of other customers and told me there was nothing wrong with my hair and that i just wasnt used to it being so blond. That i would get used to it! I paid just to get out of there asap and cried in my car.
