I love supporting small business when I heard about this place I wanted to try immediately. The place is small very clean I loved that the products are organized and the atmosphere is nice. The cashier at the front is very nice no attitude which was good. The prices of the products withing the market are good. I found products that I could only find in Miami but I also found a lot of Goya products that I can find easily in other markets in Texas. So I wasn't too impress by the Goya products, they have a lot of them. They had guayabas but the guayabas we're brown and black so I did not buy... I tried their cafeteria which was not very good I had a sandwich which was good and the guava batido was good however I wasnt very happy about the charges on my ticket. I bought 4 things and I spent more there than at the actual market. I ordered an onion pizza and the disappointment was huge!!!! Do not buy !!! I basically paid $11.49 for a piece of bread with cheese. The pizza is really small and it barely had onions on top of it and they charged me $1.50 extra for the topping in addition to the $9.99 for the piece of bread with cheese With those $1.50 I could have bought a bag of onions ---- they barely put onions on it . Also they charged me a service fee of 10% I'm assuming for the use of the square but the square charges business owners for the use of the reader only 2.6% plus 10 cents per swipe they charged me a 10% fee which ended up to be $3.08 so basically I wasted $4.58 unnecessarily ($1.50 for the topping and $3.08 for the service fee) the pizza was bad I have onion pizza in Florida all the time is delicious with flavor and lots of onions the one here resembles a piece of shoe with cheese..... I will definitely not buy at the cafeteria anymore I drove about 45 min to try this place and was a...
Read moreIt was my first time here. I was very excited due to the good reviews, but unfortunately, my experience wasn't the best. Upon arrival, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged in the slightest form. I was obviously confused by the two counters, and was about to order by the wrong one, and a young man(kind and corteous) explained that I was supposed to order on the other side of the restaurant. The lady at the counter (middle-aged, black hair) seemed annoyed by my presence. Any questions I had regarding food were answered in a condescending tone, as if I were stupid and everything was just common sense. It gave me the impression she wasn't very welcoming of other ethnic groups other than her own, and she could obviously see that I wasn't cuban by my lack of knowledge on their food. I have, although, tried other places and have had great experiences(Caribbean Cuba, excellent, by the way), but I had never ordered a cuban sandwich before, so it was a new experience to me. My order was just a ham, and Swiss Sandwich and an empanada, which weren't bad, but weren't that great either. And they took forever to be ready. I approached the counter, and a very polite and beautiful young lady helped me, but I was, and still am, very discouraged about the whole experience. More than likely, I will not be coming back, especially with so many other options out there with better...
Read moreFRIENDLY AND UNIQUE VARIETY! SUPPORT LATIN OWNED BUSINESS! My family had come in from out of town and were looking for a Latin market to buy some ingredients. We decided to stop by here and we got to make some new friends. The owners were at the front of the store, they greeted us and even gave us a free soda to try out! The store itself is small, but does have a lot of cool things to offer! I found some amazing things at this place that I did not know even existed!!! (Cubans eat these HUGE avocado fruits and they were nice enough to explain how they differentiate from the typical Hass avocado we eat here in the states or even Mexico.) They were both so amazing and even shared with us a little bit about their own culture! I hope you guys make it big, you both are such nice people!!! Go...
