I’ve been back and forth about whether or not I would write a review about my services here. What solidified my decision to do so was the complications I experienced in taking out my Senegalese twists. Her reviews are so positive so I was reluctant because she may have just had an off day. But I encountered a number of issues with this experience. She texted me at 12:00 in the morning asking me to move my appointment to an earlier time the day before my appointment. Of course I said yes because it was days before a vacation and it was too short notice to find someone else. However, that was completely unprofessional. My appointment was supposed to last 2 hours. I was there for EIGHT hours. She stopped two separate times both over an hour long for different reasons without even asking if I minded. Again, unprofessional. (Here is where the true issues begin). My twists were not consistent in shape or size. Some started as a braid, went into a twist, and ended in a braid. Others started as a braid, went into a twist, and ended in a twist. I think my biggest upset was some braids had my natural hair knotted into the end of the braid so I had to cut my own hair.
Although I was completely dissatisfied with my services I still left her a tip because I recognize and understand hard working black women. However, I want it to be known that my experience was horrible and while she has great reviews everything that glitters is not gold. I attached a few photos of some of the issues I mentioned.
Update: After washing and deep conditioning I found I had a substantial amount of hair loss; both in my hair and my edges. I attached a picture of the lost hair. I had my twists in just under 3 weeks. I have never lost that much hair from my twists before; even twists I’ve had longer...
   Read moreI thought I had found my forever braiding place but to my surprise there were too many inconveniences. To start off, I booked medium waist length knotless braids for 940am was going to be late by 5 minutes and advised them. When I arrived the door was locked I ran the bell and no one opened the door. I stood outside for 5 minutes, it wasn’t until a girl had arrived and called inside for them to open the door for her that I was finally allowed inside. I didn’t know it at the time but she was my braider, on the confirmation email it states the time frame for the braids was going to be 940am - 220pm. The braiding didn’t start until 10am. I left the shop at 640pm that evening, I’ve been to other places and received service for small-medium butt length in 5 hours. Here’s my opinion for why this service took too long. The braiding hair isn’t even prepped before appointments. The women would get ONE bundle at a time and separate it ONE BY ONE as they’re braiding and continue to run to the back to get ONE more bundle but would disappear for 5 minutes at a time. Why is that ? There’s no reason why the hair shouldn’t already be laid out and be more than enough to braid an entire head. Another thing Monday July 17th it was 92 degrees, the AC was not turned on until 6pm that evening and all the clients were complaining about the heat the entire day. Customer service and time management is at an all time low in this braiding shop.    Read moreIt’s giving SCAM! I wouldn’t waste my money here. They have no respect for your time and do not give you quality braids for the price. I gave 1 star because the place was very clean, but the staff seemed to have no customer service skills. I arrived on time for my appointment on July 15 at 10:30am and sat for a half hour before anyone touched my hair. They did not prepare the hair for my appointment at all. In total, I sat in the chair for 12 hours for the BHB braids. Just two days later, my hair was falling out in clumps. It’s a complete waste of time and money. I feel as though I was scammed. I reached out to the owner to see about getting the hair redone since it costs so much money to do and I want to get my moneys worth, but again I’m dealing with the terrible customer service. I guess we will see if this can be fixed, but I doubt it.
