Harbor Freight — Local services in Jackson Township

Unfortunately I have no choice but to give 1 star. This is technically due to corporate policy not the employees at this store. The ladies were very nice. I bought a cement mixer. The shaft that spins the bucket broke the 1st bag of mud after over an hour of assembling. The shaft comes preassembled so no chance I built it wrong. The issue is I soent 8 hours mixing and coloring concrete and worked until 8pm, then go to return the item and I got hit with a 20% restocking fee. Guys thats not cool at all...I've spent 3 days recovering from being sore mixing 34 bags of concrete just to return the defective item. My time was wasted, workload quadrupled, then a 20% restocking fee was a slap in the face...super not pleased with harbor freight right now amd seriously considering sending them a invoice with a intent to sue attached if the dont pay it. 8 hours labor I'm owed by my math and concrete labor isnt cheap...again I say I'm super not happy with this situation. There were 3x people thar I saw working, and 2x of them had this attitude that I was bothering them by being there. Their facial expressions said it all! When I asked the guy stocking where to find what I needed, he sighed and rolled his eyes. To that I felt the need to apologize for asking him to do his job. He answered saying he did not have what I needed, but I can look anyway, and he pointed me in to the direction I needed to go. Then, I found what I was after there, and stood in line to check out. The girl running register #2 had this look of absolute disgust, and it seemed to get worse over the time it took to attend to the 2x other people in line before me. Finally, the guy at #1 looked at me and asked if he could help, and I got out of there. Sadly, my job asks me to shop there for supplies I need, if not for that fact, I would avoid this place...

The website said they had handwarmers. So I went there looked all over the store several associates walked past me didn't ask me if I needed help. Couldn't find them so I went to the back of the store to use the public restroom. Long and behold associates came out from their hiding places and asked "Can I help you?" I need to use the restroom. They are closed. Ok I see your not cleaning them are the closed to staff too Harbour freight? I thought to myself. So whatever so I go up to the girl at the cash register. She is wearing a mask and BLUE Nitrle GLOVES checking people out🤦‍♀️ yea spread that covid girl. No gloves sanitize in between is protocol. SMH. I asked about the handwarmers. She said I don't carry them. Well im not asking if you do, i'm asking if the store does. WTH Harbour freight?? Get it together. Only gave one star because I had to...
