The best experience of our trip to Jackson. A must do. My husband and I did the full-day Yellowstone tour and it was WELL worth the cost. If we had more time, I would have done the Teton tour as well. Corey was the best tour guide we could have asked for. We cannot thank him enough for spending the entire day with us. We recognize Corey’s job is not easy… he has the pressure of showing us all the major attractions, driving long distances, navigating busy parking lots and crowds… all while trying to spot wildlife and sharing a wealth of knowledge in a condensed amount of time. Corey accomplished all this and more… throughout the entire day he had a positive attitude and great energy. Corey took care of all the little things that would have made the day impossible for us to do alone. He led us through the geysers and hot springs, constantly checking his phone for the expected eruption times, so that we would be able to time our walk and see everything efficiently. He navigated the roads through such a beast of a park with ease. He quickly took care of parking in lots where there was a line of cars waiting for miles. He led us through secret trails so we would get the best unobstructed vantage points of Grand Prismatic and Grand Canyon without the crowds. He pointed out every nook and cranny of the park… in spaces where I’m sure my husband and I would think is just a field or just a river… he explained what that particular location was and elaborated on the history and importance of that area. His wealth of knowledge was impressive and just added to a magical experience… it felt like the only way Yellowstone should be seen and appreciated fully. Corey was a walking history book on all the pioneers and mountain men that made the park what it is today. He knew EVERYTHING about the Yellowstone ecosystem, including the animals, plants, rock formations, hot spring and geyser features. I made it clear to Corey that I wanted to see wildlife, particularly a bear, and while I completely understood that it may not be possible and that it was up to Mother Nature, you could tell Corey was sincerely trying to find us any wildlife he could. Towards the end of the day, Corey, accomplished a seemingly impossible feat and with his keen eye spotted a beautiful grizzly bear at the base of a mountain in the distance. It was not obvious and certainly would have been missed had it not been for Corey… in fact there were other tour groups around us and Corey selflessly went to go tell them. Corey then had all the equipment to view the bear up close but from a safe distance. He pulled out a scope and was even able to record live video of the bear through the lens of the scope that he shared with me on my iPhone at the end of the trip. Overall, an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you to Jackson Hole Wildlife...
Read moreI would enthusiastically recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris to anyone and everyone visiting Jackson Hole!! Whatever your interests or abilities, based on my experience, I feel confident saying that you will be utterly delighted with their services and expertise. I know that I will forever cherish the memories made, the photographs taken, and the skills learned on my excursion with them!
My husband and I visited Jackson Hole for the first time in early April 2023. For him, our trip was business + pleasure. Since I was just along for the ride, he booked me in for their “Premium Tour: Full-Day Grand Teton Photography Experience” on a day he knew he would be in board meetings all day. While my poor husband toiled away, I would get to go out on an 8 hour private tour with a professional photographer & naturalist guide to explore Grand Teton National Park.
Bob Adams [who, I must say, is an absolutely great guy!!] would be my guide & photography coach for the day. Bob got to work ensuring that my Grand Teton Photography Experience would truly be an experience of a lifetime long before the day even began. Almost as soon as my tour was booked, Bob reached out to discuss what I hoped to shoot & what kind of camera gear I have. In order to help me achieve my dream shots, he wanted to have time to familiarize himself with my camera model and come up with a game plan for the day.
When the day arrived, Bob was an exceptional guide! In early April, many roads in and around Grand Teton National Park are closed. Nevertheless, thanks to Bob’s intimate familiarity with the area, I was able to relax and revel in the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Tetons as he ferried me around to explore all the best spots that are accessible during that time of year.
An obvious passion for photography complemented Bob’s familiarity with the lay of the land. Bob not only guided me to the most picturesque locations but, knowing that I am relatively new to photography, he also offered valuable suggestions which helped me to capture some of the best shots I have ever taken! I am extremely grateful for his creative and technical insights; I am unquestionably a better photographer today because of them!
Perhaps most importantly, as I mentioned before, Bob is an all-around great guy! I feel it necessary to mention this fact again because, in truth, all of the expertise in the world won’t make someone who isn’t personable a great guide! I felt completely comfortable with Bob & very much enjoyed our conversation throughout the day.
Long story short: Book an excursion with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris if you’re planning to visit the area – you...
Read moreMy son and i planned for a 3000 mile road trip thru 6 US states forming part of the 'wild west'. However our itinerary only had 2 full days in Jackson WY. Being limited on time and wanting to get the most out of the 2 days i thought it would be a good idea to have a guided tour. After searching the net I found that Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris looked the best option and reserved 2 private safaris (Grand Teton half day and Yellowstone full day) on consecutive days. I liked the attention to detail (what filling would you like in your sandwich for lunch?) and the prompt email responses, the small things inspire confidence. When the day came we had an early start (0630) and our guide arrived on time in a clean and warm (its was October) GMC full size SUV with plenty of drinks and snacks for us in the back seats. Our guide (Greg Harlow) is also a professional wildlife photographer and a Liverpool FC fan (well on one's perfect!). Using Greg's in-depth knowledge of the park and photography generally was a great help and he got us in all the right spots to get the best pics of sunrise over the landscapes and elk and moose herds. He also gave us some good advice on the best hiking trails as we planned to hike in the afternoon. Next day we were really pleased to see that our guide for the full day was Greg again, a nice touch having the continuity. Again Greg had an uncanny knack for getting us in the right places at the right time and the roadside interaction with a bison herd in Hayden Valley and the hour we spent with a mom grizzly and two cubs at sunset is a memory Jack and i will cherish. Greg even knew the name of the bear (Blondie)!! He also took some pics and movies himself and shared them to my phone which was amazing as he is way better at it than me! To sum up this company is very well managed and they provide an excellent service, I can't recommend them highly enough. Mo Salah, Mo Salah, Mo Salah the...
