We recently had the pleasure of dining at Calico Restaurant and Bar in Wilson, Wyoming, and we must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This hidden gem deserves every bit of praise for its fantastic drinks, delectable appetizers, and mouthwatering entrees. To kick off our evening, we indulged in the Bruschetta as our appetizer, and it was a delightful introduction to the meal. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the crispy bread acting as a canvas for the fresh, tangy toppings. It left us eager for what was to come. For our entrees, we chose the Rigatoni Bolognese on our first visit, and it was an absolute revelation. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the rich, meaty Bolognese sauce was heavenly. It was a dish that transported us to the heart of Italy, leaving us craving more. So enamored were we with our initial experience that we returned for a second visit, and this time we opted for the Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna. Both dishes surpassed our expectations. The Chicken Parmesan boasted a golden, crispy coating enveloping tender chicken, smothered in a luscious tomato sauce. It was a true comfort food masterpiece. As for the Lasagna, it was a symphony of flavors. Layers of pasta, cheese, and a sumptuous meat sauce came together to create a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that made each bite a moment to savor. What truly sets Calico apart is the exceptional quality of their sauces. Each dish we tried featured a sauce that was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. It was evident that a great deal of care and attention went into perfecting every element of the meal. To accompany our culinary adventure, we ordered Tito's martinis, and they were nothing short of excellent. The bartenders at Calico are skilled mixologists who know how to create a balanced and refreshing cocktail. The martinis were perfectly chilled, with just the right amount of vermouth. We are not big dessert people but we had to try their lady fingers Tiramisu and it was also fantastic and the cognac flavor was awesome. The overall atmosphere at Calico is warm, inviting, and exudes a sense of sophistication. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about their craft. They made us feel welcomed and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. If we had more time we would have wanted to try their pizzas expecting that their sauce is fantastic on their other meals. In conclusion, Calico Restaurant and Bar in Wilson, Wyoming, has become one of our favorite dining establishments. The combination of fantastic drinks, exceptional appetizers, and unforgettable entrees make it a culinary destination worth seeking out. If you're searching for an exquisite dining experience, look no further than Calico. Prepare to be amazed by their unparalleled sauces and to embark on a culinary journey you won't soon forget.

We had a micro wedding in July & it felt almost impossible to find someone (during off season in order to plan) that would return any of our emails/calls to even inquire about renting or reserving space but Julie with calico was one of the few. From the moment we got a response I knew this would be where we’d celebrate one of the happiest moments of our lives. Her kindness, promptness, & overall just outstanding customer service blew us away. Many spaces in the area tried to rip us off by saying we had to rent out the entire space or even reserving partial space would be $5,000+ but Julie with calico was realistic about our needs (we only had a total of 24 people photog & videog included). She had offered us to hire out the whole restaurant as a private event if we wanted to but with such a small party we only needed a designated space & she gave us just that. We were offered the end cap of their patio & because of the natural beauty & ambience of their restaurant we didn’t have to plan any other decor although Julie was totally welcome to us doing so. A few days prior we dropped off a few items like a cake topper, guest book, & favors & she & her team set them out perfectly. Our celebration here was more than exceptional. We chose an unlimited chefs made pizza, salad, wing package with bottle service & the servers were on top of their game! I wish I had written this review sooner so I didn’t forget their names but our servers were impeccable & totally fit in with our group! She made our non-traditional wedding celebration everything we imagined. Effortless, simple, elegant. No fru-frus just a beautiful welcoming space with our closest friends & family. Thank you Julie & your wait staff for being who you are and providing impeccable service & food!! We will continue to return for anniversaries to come! Photographer: Andra Krista photography

Came for dinner tonight, had a 5pm reservation. Doors for the bar were open at 430 and we had drinks to pass the time. The spicy margarita was good and our server was very sweet. We promptly moved to the dining area at 5 and got a seat on their porch area. The grassy area was great for children to play and families to enjoy. Overall the food was enjoyable, we had spaghetti and marinara / meatballs. We weren’t however crazy about the calico garden salad. I will say some of things we noticed was that there were a lot of bees around. Not really their fault but I’m highly allergic so that made for a more stressful dinner. The 3% “surcharge fee” for card use was also a little surprising, so be aware of that. Overall we enjoyed our evening, and it’s a sweet place to stop for dinner, especially if you have kids.

Good food, nice waiter, but exceptionally rude, petty manager. We were a party of three, with the prior reservation, asking for a table on the patio. We were told that the rain was coming and if we were to get the table on the patio, we may not be able to get inside if the weather turns to the worse. We were fine with that and picked a patio table well-protected from the weather. We had our food soon after. When rain has arrived, a large party consisting of six parents with five or more kids and toddlers moved from the lawn to the patio right next to our table. They were very loud, running and screaming, which we tolerated for quite a while, but then we went inside and politely asked if we could get a table inside due to the noise and our inability to have a conversation. The waiter seemed to be very content to accommodate us as the room inside was not too crowded, but then this young male manager with trimmed beard with a tone attitude and condescension stepped forward and started telling my wife how he warned us and how this was a regular problem with people on the patio. We went back to our patio table to finish our food, drinks and the conversation. Soon after that large raucous party decamped, but then this manager dude showed up again to tell us about a table inside, but my wife told him we don't need him, or his table inside and to live us alone. He again started a long-winded mansplaining with the same obnoxious demeanor, to which my wife told him that we are not interested in any of what he had to say, and yet he kept talking, so she kept repeating "thank you" until he turned around and slammed the patio door. This petty self-important dude has ensured that we will never return and hopefully a few others reading this review will consider multiple worthy alternatives...
