My initial visit with American freight (west side) was great my husband and I placed an order in July for living room furniture & also a dining room table set. We returned in August to place another order on bedroom furniture (at this time all of the first order was completely paid for. After each visit it was explained to us that we would get a call when our furniture came in but, due to COVID 19 it might be awhile which we completely understood. We hadnât received any calls maybe a month or two after so(also all furniture was paid for by this point)we called on our own at that point it was explained to us that some of our first order was there but not all of it which was fine, we asked if we needed to pick it up at that moment or if it could stay there until the rest of it arrives, we were told that it could stay there and nothing would happen to it. I told them if they needed us to pick it up it was not a problem we would if they needed us to, it was reiterated that it could stay there. As of today it has been five months since ordering we arrived to the store to pick up some of the second the order & the entire first order. The first order was said to be there & the second was said to only be missing two items. At arrival I was told my dining room table set had either been sold because they over sold things or transferred to another store to be sold(mind you it was paid for & supposed to be being held until both of my orders were completely in store.) Following that I was told my coffee table & end tables were there & they were not & I was given no explanation to what happened to them I was told they didnât know what happened to them. I was offered to wait another few months if they reordered my dining table or to take the floor model that didnât have the bench I ordered with it and was also missing a chair.( I declined lol) I was given the option to pick something else to replace it & they would give me that if they had it in store both options were not in store & I would have to wait for the order. The only thing they did replace was my coffee table & end tables with the floor models they had. I ended up asking for a full refund for my dining room table set. I still have to return tonight to get the rest of my order assuming that itâs there when the truck delivers. That being said I do not recommend purchasing if they do not have what youâre looking for on hand because they do not call you when things arrive you have to call them & they will sell and or transfer your purchased items...
   Read moreI very much wanted to give them a great review, but Iâm going to be honest about the entire experience. A little over two years ago I needed a bedroom set & didnât have enough cash to pay outright. After speaking to a sales person over the phone and looking at prices online as well, I went online and immediately got approved for just under $1,000 credit. That was great because based on the prices online I would have several bedroom sets to choose from & may have to pay possibly an additional couple hundred dollars for a FULL bedroom set. Went to the store and of course, itâs an entirely different story. Somehow I ended up with only 2 nightstands and a bed for a GRAND. Paid every single payment on time and ended up paying well over 2 thousand after finance charges for - AGAIN - 2 nightstands and a bed!!! Now, if that bed was excellent quality? No problem. Delivery was fine. I put everything together myself. I was shocked to see the track on the inside of the bed frame in which the slats lay on was only 1âx1â!! On top of that, I got 4 âslatsâ for support which were also - 1âx1â?!?! So, basically these were dowels - not slats. Within a month my bed had hit the floor twice so I went to Home Depot and got reinforcements. Less than a year after getting the mattress, it has completely given out where I sleep each night - and I take very, very good care of my belongings - so this isnât an issue of gross wear and tear. I turned the mattress and within 6 more months I now have TWO huge voids in the mattress. Supposedly it came with some ridiculously long warranty like eleven years. So I call to get a warranty replacement. Oh, sorry - you have to go online and request it directly from the manufacturer. Well, guess what? Itâs now been 8 months since I began that process, several times taking ridiculous pics with measuring tapes and sending it in - not even ONE reply. You try to get American Freight to advocate for you because, after all, this is THEIR vendor - American Freight is a CUSTOMER of this mattress manufacturer so, youâd think since Iâm a customer of American Freight - theyâd step in and deal with THEIR vendor. NOPE. I have another bedroom I want to redo, my living room and I need a new dinette.. I wanted to get my mattress replaced first and planned to buy all of the aforementioned from this company but Iâm not so sure I will now. It sucks because people work hard for their money.. $2,000 doesnât come to me easily.. and I feel their absolutely broke...
   Read moreBy far the most unprofessional company I have ever ordered from. When I walked into the warehouse last week, none of the employees had masks on. The salesman wasnât clear on pricing but we eventually got it straightened out, put our order in and left.
Today 2 delivery men came to deliver bedroom furniture I ordered - 1 mattress, 1 box spring, head board/bed frame, nightstand and a mirror. They both walked into my home WITHOUT MASKS ON smelling like they just smoked 3 packs of cigarettes. When they arrived I asked if they could bring up the furniture upstairs and set it up because I would be unable to do so and they said yes. After they set up the bed, they proceeded to tell me I owe them 70 dollars for the delivery fee. I had already given them 40 cash and prepaid the furniture as well as the 70 dollar delivery fee at the warehouse when I placed my order. They stood in my home, talking to me again WITHOUT MASKS ON while Iâm holding my baby asking me to pay them the 70 dollars. After a ton of back and forth, they give me their bosses CASH APP to send the 70 dollars to. Never in my entire life have I seen a company function this way. They literally would not leave my home without the 70 dollars. My child is crying, I was clearly steered in the wrong direction at the warehouse but what did they care? They called their boss Shana and apparently she demanded that I pay the delivery fee. They even offered to follow me in my car while I drive to the bank. WHAT????? If anything why wouldnât they just bill me being that my card was on file? Just completely astonished at how unprofessional these people are. And after all of that they had the audacity to leave all of the packaging outside of my front door and didnât even bother to take it with them. They also left the nightstand and mirror in their boxes and didnât even bother to take them out even though I asked for them to set everything up.
Jesus Christ. I canât not stress enough how people should stay far away from this place. They are ridiculously unprofessional and I will never again order from American freight again. Get it together and have your god damn employees take covid seriously. You should not have your employees going into peoples homes with no masks on. NEVER AGAIN.
Seriously...youâre better off ordering from rooms to go or something because this place is...
