Circle Japan is one of Jacksonville's hidden gems. It is chock full of savory, sweet, and unique Japanese treats. Tomoko, the owner, is such a delightful lady. She is always in such a good mood, and you can tell she loves what she does and is proud of it. She has remembered us every time we have come in and always makes time for small talk, even when it's busy. There is even a small recreational area at the front of the store where children can play and watch anime while their parents shop. Everything is fresh and more than reasonably priced. She also sells cute little stickers, keychains, bento boxes, chopsticks, and other items that feature popular anime/Japanese characters. I always make sure to tell everyone I know about...

I felt like I was in Japan. The little details, Japanese TV programing radiating throughout the store, The tags having Japanese writing and a little bit of English. I love it- I just bought Sake and Plum Wine and its made in Japan. Peach flavor Ramune and pokey in flavors I haven't seen before. I only wish it was bigger- but maybe I just need to go ahead and visit Japan. With Corona still being high, this is the closest I'll get. I tried but my flight was cancelled and my vacation days were used, which made me sad for a while.

But the store is Amazing and makes me wanna try to go again when everything settles. They have such variety as it is. And the lady was very kind.
