PK Noodles — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I’ve lived in Jacksonville on and off since 2004. I’ve tried mostly all of the pho spots in town but never checked out PK Noodles. I don’t really know why, I guess when you find your favorite you stick with it. PK offers banh mi as well as pho and boba… so why not get all three? Ordered the special pho with all of the meats. The broth was very light… but had me going back again and again until it was gone. It didn’t taste as artificially enhanced like some other pho spots in town. There are also other spots that include way more meat, but the tendon was my favorite, absolutely melt in your mouth. The banh mi was good. Was it the best I’ve ever had? No. Was it sufficient and still tasty? Yes. I enjoy the charm of a quaint small restaurant with retro furniture and a lot of communal seating. No frills. Just food. Overall my biggest take away and honest opinion is, if you’re looking for a delicious lunch that won’t break the bank. This is your spot. Pho, banh mi and boba totaled $20. The food was excellent as always. I ordered one of the Vermicelli dishes (37a) and it was cooked perfectly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on service was because of the appetizer. I ordered the bbq pork spring rolls (3a) with the peanut sauce for dipping. I didn't get any peanut sauce, but instead got a clear fish sauce, which I don't like. I ordered this for pick-up, so it wasn't found out until I got home. The spring rolls themselves were absolutely fantastic. Friday night dinner with the family was a win! Pho sounded perfect for the cold weather so I went with the rare steak and well-done brisket pho plus a grilled pork banh mi. Everything was so flavorful and tasty.

I can't believe we haven't dined here before! The prices are super reasonable especially with how expensive things are nowadays. About 95% of the menu is under $10 which you don't see often anymore. I even grabbed a grilled pork entree to-go.
