It was okay overall, but service was Meh at best. Let me start off by saying I think that they're just super understaffed which is where a lot of the problems lie. We went on a weekend night and it was popping. We asked for a booth or couch & the told us it was V.I.P only. We we're like that's totally fine (assuming we'd just have to order a bottle or two). Then they were like its actually reservation only on the weekends. So we were like okay... whatever I guess. We spent the next 30 minutes literally trying to flag down someone to order drinks and a hookah. We order the premium hookah and 3 of the specialty cocktails. When we finished our drinks, we spent 20-30 minutes trying to just order a bottle so we wouldn't have to have such a long wait time, and literally everyone just kept ignoring us. I'm talking about full hand in the air teacher I'm trying to answer a question, flagging someone down. After being there an hour and hardly being able to order, two groups walked in (without reservation, and were seated on a couch 3ppl, and in vip for the other group). And I literally watched all of them get multiple rounds and served immediately. The hookah was okay, thier blends and selection are pretty good. The DJ they has was actually INCREDIBLE & the atmosphere was nice. But the customer service was awful and it literally seemed like I was begging someone to let me spend money there. Also before the owner tries to comment on my post too, this was our 3rd spot for the evening. We literally were out to celebrate 2 of our birthdays and were looking to buy drinks and spend money money.💰 🤑 But everyone kept ignoring us, and by an hour an half there, only being able to get the hookah and one round of drinks we were ready to...
Read moreThis is one of Jacksonville's better-kept secrets. A hookah bar with DJ, wine and beer, no hard liquor (for now). The owners are very interested in making it a pleasant, comfortable hangout. The atmosphere is great and the service also, they take service seriously. Troublemakers not tolerated, everyone else welcome. They opened right before COVID-19 social isolation but have managed to keep going, in no small part because the owners stepped up. The staff are careful to keep a clean bar and service. Plan on waiting a minute to be seated but come to enjoy the atmosphere and music. Not a night life spot, more like a place to go with friends or maybe with a new date. I haven't seen a live band yet but they do plan on bringing in live music. DJ music is R&B, rap, local favorites. Karaoke Thursdays, you might catch a member of the local live scene relaxing and sharing a favorite piece during karaoke. Crowd is mostly college to 20-something, with the occasional professional /40-something thrown in. Some food items, subject to availability, standard bar fare (wings, mozz sticks, etc) but you won't be hungry as long as they are in stock. Hookahs do take a few (10-20) minutes to make, worth the wait, new coals are free and frequent. Hookah, food, and drink prices are competitive, not discount, and don't forget your server. If you aren't sure about the hookah I recommend the French vanilla chai, or anything with mint. There's a lot of potential here, it's worth supporting. Full disclosure: I have met the owners and am a sometime regular but this is not a paid or promotional post. I just think it's a place worth supporting, especially in these times. Tell them Steve sent you,...
Read moreI hate leaving bad reviews but I hate receiving bad service even more. We arrived around 915p on a Saturday night party of 3. We requested couch seating was told they were all reserved. So we sat at 1 table - in a very congested area.
It took 16 minutes for anyone to greet us. The people who were sat AFTER us had received their hookah & drinks before anyone even came to our table.
The Guy who finally greeted us was a little rude. He took our hookah order & NEVER came back. Our hookah took almost 23 minutes to come out & then when it did they brought us a broken one that sits on the floor. We had to upgrade to the glass hookah just to be able to get a decent pull & share. When it was time for a coal refill lol we asked 3 different servers/staff. That took another 23 minutes. And by the time they came the hookah had burnt out. Felt like a setup to get upsell & order a shisha refill.
Ugh then the fries we ordered came out half done & drenched in salt. Had to send them back.
The dj arrived late -- his skills 😫😫🤣🤣🤣😋🍅🍅🍅🍅 -- he was mixing songs together that didn't go together -- no transitions -- just all over the place.
This was a waste of $89 - the Spanish looking server was the ONLY decent thing & she seemed...
