So first I have to start by saying that the vibe and energy that this shop has is amazing! I went in two weeks ago for a hair consultation to combine locs into wick locs. My hair was already going through a home combined process but my ends were thin and damaged from color processing. Let’s just say I needed a miracle to bring my locs back to life. I met with Remi and she was amazing and let me know my request can be met with no worries. I now went in yesterday to get service completed and my hair is EVERYTHING. Remi and Amber are the wick Goddesses of Jacksonville. They made my experience the best. They communicated the whole process to make sure I was ok with every step being taken. They even had a great eye for detail when making sure they accommodated how I enjoy to wear my hair styles, the accessories I wear in my hair, ect. My hair came out amazing and to be honest it exceeded my expectations. They took my damaged hair and gave it life, fullness, and longevity. I truly loved my experience at CWata! The salon is clean and personable! I was in the washing chair within 5 minutes of my arrival! And Ms. Cecilia was starting my hair shortly after my wash! They are quick, personable, and talented. Ms. Cecilia answered all of my questions and concerns allowed me to pick out my parting sizes, without complaint! All three locticians in the salon were passionate about their craft and so sweet! I was able to watch Ms. Anne consult and style another client while I was in the chair and she did a phenomenal job as well and she was quick! They do not charge for consultations, the retwist comes with wash and style. You can tell these women have been doing this for a long time and when you come in they treat you well with love and kindness. It has literally been less than 24 hours since my hair has been completed and I have had SO many compliments on my hair! I will be coming back and I am happy to know that I have found my locticians! I have a sensitive scalp- and that can be something a lot of locticians may not care to deal with. But she took the time to learn what wouldn’t break out my scalp.

I also cut my locs myself (yikes) and she was able to repair them seamlessly. She’s kind and honest and I wish I could say that these attributes are common in the loc community- but they’re not. I came to Rimi with a butchered loc bob; I now have locs that touch my back.

Her personality speaks for itself. She is not the one who comes into the shop with an attitude and mishandles your hair as a result. No matter what, Rimi always fosters a positive and nurturing environment for those who need it.
